Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum covers over-all matters needed for engineers in real life. But more changes are needed to make students ready for real life problems. More intership oppertunities should be provided by the college itself so that students get ready for real life problems.

Placement Experience
Students are eligible for campus placements from semester 6 onwards. But campus placement for civil engineering is fairly low. But companies like Aarbee Structures Pvt Ltd has offered jobs for my mates
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly I'm paying about ?85000. Initial caution deposit is ?100000. Tuition fee is around ?70000. Rest ~15000 is for the labs and other facilities provided. NRI batchmates had to ~100000 yearly as fees and the deposit may vary according to different courses opted
Campus Life
Mar baselios hosts one of the best college fests in trivandrum called CrossRoads MBCET. Which is a fairly large college fest and lot of students of other colleges attend. Ethnic day, onam celebration, Christmas celebration and department wise tech fest is one of the major programs. Baselios has one of the best libraries in town with online and offline journals made available for students. Extra curricular activities are promoted in a mild way Student run programs are fairly less.
Admission
Personally I didn't apply for any other colleges other than mar baselios. Because my entrance score was too low. But I regret taking admission for engineering in this particular college for a number of reasons. Admission process for mar baselios is fairly simple. You've to crack the KEAM entrance test or get a fairly decent score in the JEE exams and you can register for this college
Faculty
There is decent amount of faculties for individual students. Some of them are approachable and are sincerely willing to help. Most faculties are the type to hold a grudge against you. There are total of 3 exams per semester. Two internal (CAT1&2) exams which are conducted by the college prior to the End semester exam. And the internal and end semester exam is fairly easy to crack provided you get a good score for the internal exam
Night Life
There are lot of places to visit nearby. Kowdiar, koravankonam being the major night life spots within a 3 kilometre radius. It is safe to rome around at night at these spots. Gyms are also available within 1 kilometre radius
