What Students Say

Likes

This college is an autonomous based college. Thereby the paper corrections are done by own faculty.
Lots of options available for minor courses. Placements are guaranteed.
Infrastructures are good. Huge basketball court etc. Lots of computer labs.

Dislikes

The college fests are activities are less compared to other colleges. only one huge fest known as crossroads.
Once entered in college you can't leave till the college ends.
More over strictness in everything ,attendance is more important than anything

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is actually good compared to other courses. But in 1st year too much studying of basic engineering like electrical,electronics etc. Career focusing subjects are also there. You can choose minor courses along with your main course.

Internships Opportunities

Lots of companies offer internships this is based on branches and it varies all years. infosys provides internships for students in 3rd year. many mechanical companies also provies internship for students.

Placement Experience

Placement selections takes place uring your final year, ie; 4th year. Each and every branch they provides placements. High placements for computer science engineering students. Companies like infosys,l and t , ust approches our college

Fees and Financial Aid

Management fee is 235000 (approximate). If you have rank under 15k for Keam,they will provide scholarships.(management admission) Government seats are also available thereby reducing the fee strucuture. Mainly keam based admission selection. Management annual fee(without any scholarships):2,23,000. Caution deposit:10,000 Government seat fees(depends based on rank).

Campus Life

Variety of clubs are available in our college. There is music club, photography club. And the main club is dance club which is known as bboiz. It is a national level dance group. there are lots of activites and programs like hackathons etc

Admission

I choose this college beacuse this is my native place. My family belongs here. I got admission in srm instituion in chennai for engineering. Mar baselious provides best placements. Companies like infosys ,ust approch our college.

Faculty

Faculty of our college is so kind.Not everyone but still some of them. course structure: 8sememester total. Each year 2 semesters. Total 4 year course. Series exam(internal exam) are done in between 2 months. Total marks 100. 60 done theory 40 is for internals

Night Life

No nightlife inside the campus as the campus closes 6pm. Hostelers should enter the hostel before 6:30 pm. Cangt roam around after 6:30 pm for hostlers. Outside the campus there are lots of resturants and tea stalls. there is a Momo chicken shop opposite to our college

Placement Experience:

The campus placements are good, can be better. This year the average is 15L and median is 12L and highest is 50L for ece, the percentage of placed students in ece is also greater than 80%.In the 3rd year students are taken for interships and those may convert to placements and for 4th year students placements will start from the start of their 4th year itself.For ece meesho, dell, texax instuments and many other companies came, meesho paid the highest salary in ece.My plan is to secure a good job in core company.

Nit Calicut - Good Side and Worse Side

we get placements mostly in the post 6th sem or in 7th sem. Some major companies like texas instruments offer good packages here. others include meesho, goldmans sachs, dell, bpl. Highest package is around 50lakh for ece students and around 70 lakh for cse. more than 80 percent get placed from cse and ece but is only around 20 percent in branches like production engineering, engineering physics. less core companies than it ones

I had applied for saitgaits,amal jyothi and cet. Considering cet,the fee and placements are high but the discipline and structured way is lacking.Now considering saintgaits and amal jyothi,there are more opportunities in mbcet to explore.. mbcet is also in the town and easily approachable via public transport.mbcet has a disciplined approach to studies.comparing the hostels too mbcet has one of the best hostels. I was rejected in cet for cs dept as i didnt aquire the required rank..i was accepted in both others but decided to join mbcet due to its status in society.
