Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum of 2024 batch is revised and is mainly job oriented. THE students needs to go for internship and it helps them to get an overview of how their future work takes place. The exams are held frequently

Class Size: 73Course Fees: INR 9500 per year

Internships Opportunities

Many companies offer internship for students which helps them to know ,pre about what they are studying throughout the 4 year course and they are offering roles like junior engineer . The students can get an overview of everything.

Placement Experience

The campus placement is eligible after the 6th sem. Many companies visit our collage for placement related things some of the companies are Tata, tcs, L&T, reliance etc . The students with high CGPA are eligible for placemnts at collage.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees is about 9500 which include only the tution fees.Wehzve to give extra fees for PTA fund, alumni fund , transportation fees and for each sem we have to give sem exam fees. Thrre are scholarships that are offered but for it to be availed you need to pass some certain criteria

Campus Life

The collage has a tech fest called lakshya and there are other fest like freshers. The collage library is well equipped with many book and are updated frequently.The classrooms are well equipped and labs have many modern machines that the students can use for studies.

Hostel Facilities

The collage have a hostel for girls and each room has about 6 members and each of them can have a table each. There is a study roo. So that we can study witjout any disturbance there. The food menu is very good and we get food 3 times a day with evening snacks and tea.

Hostel Fee: INR 40000 per year

Admission

I have applied for other collages bht didn't get because their cutoff washigh. For chemical engineering geck had high review. The admission process is through KEAM examination which is an entrance examination. The allotment process is carried out after the publication of ranklist and the cut off is announced.

Faculty

All the teaching faculty in GECK are well trained and have a very unique way of teaching and is very entertaining to listen to them. The exams are held frequently and the degree of difficulty varies from easy to high.

Night Life

The night life of collage is very small. But the place around the collage have many spots that we can hangout. Since the collage is located at kozhikode which is one of the most visited place in kerala there is a very good night life and kozhikode beach is one of the most popular hangout spot.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is outdated from real world. Old sytems of automobile technology is in our syllabus.Upadation of syllabus is required. Make students more aware about the real world technology.The teaching method has to be changed. Reduce theory and add more lab sessions.

Life at GEC KOZHIKODE

I chose this collage because in Kerala only less collages had chemical engineering as one of their main courses. my Life at Government Engineering College Kozhikode

I applied for many Government engineering colleges as a part of state councelling. I got admission in some of them like GEC Wayanad but i didn't take admission there as GECK was a better option. I also got rejected from some of the top colleges as my grades in entrance examination were not enough to get admission there.
