NIT Calicut offers an array of scholarships for its students enrolled among the different programs offered by the institute. Each scholarship of NIT Calicut has its own eligibility criteria and each individual is awarded only one scholarship among all only after he/she satisfies the minimum requirements. Merit Cum Means Scholarship:

The Merit Cum Means (MCM) Scholarship is awarded to the needy and meritorious students belonging from the minorities.
In order to be eligible for MCM Scholarship, candidates should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in their last qualifying examinations.
Also, the students should have an annual family income of not more than INR 2,50,000 from all the sources.
Students are awarded INR 25,000 per annum (INR 30,000 per annum for hostler) as the scholarship awards.

E-Grantz:

E-Grantz is a web-based solution for the timely disbursement of educational assistance for all the post-matric students belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories in Kerala.
The E-Grantz are only available for the students whose parents are permanent residents of Kerala with an annual family income of less than INR 6 lakhs.
A student should have maintained a minimum of 75% attendance to get E-Grantz benefits.
The benefits or E-Grantz at NIT Calicut includes:
- Reimbursement of all fees except caution deposit
- Mess fees up to INR 3500 per month
- Laptop computer at the beginning of the course
- Pocket money INR 250 per month for hostellers and INR 750 per month for day scholars.

Central Sector –Top Class For SC/ST Students:

The Central Sector Top Class Scholarship Scheme is specially designated to the students of SC/ST categories to promote quality education among them.
Any student of the SC/ST category from any part of the country having an annual family income of less than INR 4,50,000 can avail of the facility of Central Sector Top Class Scholarship Schemes.
The scholarship is completely merit-based and the previous academic performance of a student will be considered for renewal of the scholarship award.
A full tuition fee waiver is offered to the student under this scholarship scheme along with some other benefits such as:
- Hostel expenses with a limitation of INR 2200 per month
- Laptop/ Computer worth INR 45,000 at the beginning of the course
- INR 3000 for Books and stationery expenses.

Semister wise academic fee(excluding tution fee for below 1 lakh income): 1 sem : 53642 2 sem : 13000 3 sem : 21100 4 sem : 13000 5 sem : 20642 6 sem : 13000 7 sem : 20642 8 sem : 13000 For hostel and mess fee, i have paid 91000 in 1st year and in 2 nd year it is 66000. It actual changes every year. The tution fee is 62500 per sem for students who have income above 5 lakh, and 0 per sem for those whose income is below 1 lakh and for SC and ST. The students here can apply to varies scholarships like FFE, reliance ug scholarship, also NSP.

I am paying 72,000 per semester, this is the tution fee, all other fee include 45000 at the time of admission, and around 1L for hostels including mess. meanwhile we get concessions for categories and ews. but not for government employed parents.

Thee fee structure is split into Tution fee, Hostel fee, Caution deposit. I didint recived any fee relaxations or scholarships, but there are different schemes. There are E Grantz scholarship for reservation categories and you will get stipend if you have a valid GATE score.

at the admission i paid 61142 and extra tutuin fees of 60000 . hostel rent fees is 9000 . mess fees is 160 rupees per day . there is various scholarship for students whose income is less than 1 lakh. you have to pay caution deposit 20000

Fees will be paid in semester-wise. As i belong to OBC-NCL category, the tution fee per semester for me is 72500, It varies to people belong to different category. Overall, it has an excellent atmosphere for a student. The charges during the course completion per category is for sc and st also the fees is till 80000 per year.

Very vibrant college life at NITC

Fees and Financial Aid:

60000 per semester for annual income of 15 lakhs and above.25000 per semester for annual income 12 to 15 lakhs.No fees for annual income below 12 lakhs or if you belong to SC / ST. 1.5 lakhs for DASA(NRI) students. Very affordable even if you have a below average income.Caution deposit of 10000 is deposited. Mess bills come at around 4000 per month.Hostel fees of 2000 per month.Scholarships are available.SBI student loans are available.

My 4 years of btech in NITC

Fees and Financial Aid:

We pay the fee after each semester,which is 66500 per semester .Scholarships are available for financially weaker students and SC/ST students.Students having annual income less than 1 lack are exempted from paying tuition fess,while those with an annual income below 5 lack only need to pay one-third of the tuition fee.Still tuition fee is high compared to colleges under KTU(kerala technical universities) and comparable with top private colleges.But cheaper than IITs.It will cost around 8 to 9 lacks for four years including mess and hostel fees.

Yes, there are various scholarships available for OBC students studying at NIT Calicut. There is one scholarship called MOMA, it is a Merit cum scholarship. It is of national level Central government funded scholarships. State government funded scholarships are also available.

All OBC students are eligible to apply for this scholarship. The notification for this scholarship will be displayed in the academic building. The student can ask the dates for the form from the seniors.
