Among all programmes, B.Tech is considered the flagship course offered at NIT Calicut offered with 10 specializations. Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too.

I opted this college because this is an institute of national pride and top nit and also the weather here in kerala was great also I opted for al the top 5 nit's but couldn't made it because of my low grades in Joint Entrance Exam so I managed to enter this college

- Very Eco friendly,lots of greenery,Big campus.
- Have 1 month break after odd sems,3 month break after even sems.
Dislikes
- Academic Pressure,Hectic Curriculum.completes a sem in 4 months
- girls to boys ratio of 1:4.There are only girls to fill the female quotta

I Joined NITC by writing JEE Mains.I also qualified JEE Advanced but didnt get enough ranks to get admission in IIT computer scinece course..The main reason i joined NITC is because i got CSE here.and the placements for CSE at NITC is better for core branches in IITs.Also I am from kerala ,so NITC is nearest to my house.To get into NIT you need to get a good rank in JEE mains.I got CSE here with a rank of OBC 3000 .MY JEE Advanced rank was around 5000 so i would nt get a good course in IITs

- No much involvement in sports,always run towards academics.

Admission:
I just chose this college based on the NIRF rankings and based on my JEE Mains rank. The admission process is same as all other colleges,where first we need to pay some money,submit some documents, and then registration going to take place.

Apart from NIT Calicut, I also applied to CET Kerala, were I was admitted to ECE program. However, I choose NIT Calicut for its better campus exposure, research facilites and stronger placement oppurtunites. Addmission to Engineering Physics program at NIT Calicut requires qualifying JEE Mains examination, typically conducted twice a year, in January and April. Cutoff for general catergory usually exceeds 95 percentile
Admission:
I applied to several collages which were well known for their academic reputation and placement opportunities. However i choose this collage because it aligned better with my career goals due to its strong curriculum

- I appreciate the climate of the college and course curriculums of M.Tech.
- College life is very nice and there will be so many social interactions and faculty interaction is also good. Faculty will teach very nice and they are very knowledgable.
Dislikes
- College politics and respective state people domination
- sometimes feel stress while working under project guide but not everytime

I applied for NIT Trichy, NIT Surathkal, NIT Warangal, NIT Calicut, NIT Rourkela VLSI course. I got NIT Calicut VLSI based on my GATE score and category. I choose this college because of the placement oppurtunities and college reputation in getting the placements. No, I didn't got any rejection and but i rejected the admission from IIT Guwahati Communications course because I wanted to do the M.Tech in VLSI design course. Admission process for my college can be through GATE or direct admission from the college.

My dream college was EP in IIT Bombay. I couldn't make it into top 7 IITs because my JEE advance rank was not good enough. NITC was my next best alternative and I am thankful for it. It aligns with my dreams and hopes.

- THE COLLEGE CLUBS ONLY CAN BE ACCESSED BY THE CLUB MEMBERS BUT NOT OTHERS

MY FIRST CHOICE IS THE NIT CALICUT ECE BRANCH WHICH I GOT IN MY FIRST TRY.I HAD NIT SURATHKAL IN MY MIND WHICH I DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH JEE RANK . I COULD HAVE GOT INTO CS BRANCH BUT I CHOOSE ECE DUE TO IT'S FORTHCOMING FUTURE OPPURTUNITIES IN THE WORLD. JEE MAIN IS THE EXAM IN WHICH YOU CAN GET INTO ANY NIT. THE CORSE REGISTRATION PROCESS IS DONE BY JOSAA COUNCELING.WE APPLY FOR THE COURSE WE LIKE,ACCORDING TO THE PEOPLE APPLIED YOU WILL BE CHOOSEN IF YOU ARE ONE OF THE HOGHLY RANKED PERSON IN YOUR CATEGORY.

When I looked on the internet, this college seemed apt for my higher studies as it is near my home. It is well known all across the country, with an NIRF ranking of 23 in engineering colleges. NIT Calicut offers an MBA program of 2 duration through the regular mode and the fee for the same is INR 72,405 for the 1st year of its program. Here is the detailed process to get admission to NIT Calicut.
NIT Calicut MBA Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants should have completed their graduation in any discipline/stream from any recognized university.
- Applicants should have scored a minimum of 50% marks or 6 CGPA in their graduation.
NIT Calicut MBA Selection Criteria
- Applicants are shortlisted based on their CAT score after which they are selected on the basis of a group discussion and personal interview.
Preparations
You have to prepare like any other entrance exam for CAT. Firstly develop a thorough understanding of the syllabus and exam pattern. - The marks and cutoff greatly vary every year. It also depends on your Home state and Other state categories. If you are from Kerala then you will have a 50% reservation. Thus you will have good chances of getting admissions compared to Other state students.
- In case you are an NRI and completed standard 12th equivalent abroad, you need to clear the SAT with a good score to get a seat at NIT Calicut. In addition to these, there are few seats reserved for the students of SAARC countries.
- If you are from OBC/SC/ST category, you will have a lesser cut-off.
