- Placement and alumini: the institute has an immense alumini network along with the placement cell which attracts the top high paying companies ensuring good job opportunities for the students.it also enables research and further studies.
- I appreciate nitc's commitment to academic excellence, with a strong faculty and diverse range of courses that provide a well-rounded education.
- I like the cultural fests like festivals being celebrated here which is very nice .
Dislikes
- In nit calicut gym was not free we want pay for it this thing i really hatred
- Fees are very high when we compared to other nits nit calicut collecting more fees which becoming heavy burden to poor students like me they don't even giving concession most of the people are not getting scholarships
- Our hostels are too old and actually it is alloted for 3 people but they are keeping 4 people in a room wash rooms are also not so good.

I was really choosed this course with my interest and my parents are supposed me to choose architecture and when I was joined her I was enjoying this architecture course with all my friends and faculty

- Stressful class schedule for the whole week
- Late night submissions occuring due to extra schedules .
- Some faculty take the situaions to ego and hurt themselves
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course circular is very hectic and not at all balanced for the students brain . As it is done by professionals but not managable by the students ,not all but can't be managed by more than half the strength .

- College is located far from the city it's like 20 kilometres

Ithe which I choose architectural is so much famous and . I don't know what is architectural and I have join in architectural .now I understand what is architectural. The bad condition of the is architectural because we have maney assignment and project.

- The faculty is more experienced and pays attention to the students as we come to my course it is more interactive with the faculty
- The campus life would so so beautiful and many events going to happen in the campus and u can be placed also in the college clubs if u are interested in them
- The curriculum and the facilities are changing for every year to match the need to the outer world that is one thing which i really like
Dislikes
- Regarding the placements of the department of architecture, we really have lesser placements comparitive to the other departments , i think students nedds more opportunities to show their skills
Placement Experience:
Mostly the students get placed in the final year that is 4rth year for the btech and 5th year for the barch
Comparitive to the other departments the barch has lesser opportunities in the placements and the average salary would be 3 lakhs to 5 lakhs.
I want to study masters after getting the degree may in some iits

- Campus have good infra structure. 300 acres huge campus. Full of greenery and good views also.
- We have the south indias largest cultural fest ragam and tecnical fest thathva.
- Teaching methode is also good. All classes by english. And professors are very experienced.
Placement Experience:
The higjest placement package is 70 lakhs. And average package is 7 lakhs. In department of computer science all students got placed previous year. My plan after degree is get PG. Placed companies like samsung, godreg, lg, etc.

- good quality of labs and funding is given to anyone with a good startup idea

- there are only 4 busses in the campus which is less as the campus is very vast
- the central library is bit far and closes at 12 midnight
- the gender ratio of the college is not so (3:1)
Placement Experience:
the placements in nit calicut is one of the best in india according to previous years placements stats the number of students placed were close to 1100 which is a big number ,considering that previous year was time of layoff and recession

Course Curriculum Overview:
Have a good course curriculum that will take us to a level where we think we should learn more and we will be ready to seek knowledge to learn more and more about the topics. They won't spoon-feed us just give us a base. The syllabus is completed on time.

- The architecture department is very good,the building and the classrooms are nice.Facilitied for wheelchair access is also provided.Also the hostel food ,it is very good.
- Studio is large and there are individual tables for each student
- The faculties are friendly and have a less stressful atmosphere.
Dislikes
- The department is very far from the hostels,even though buses are available it is quite hard because we might be carrying charts,models , instruments etc
- There's no lift but it's okayy.The architecture department is different from other branches kinda like more isolated from the rest of the departments but there's a unity among the architecture students which has positive and negative aspects.
- The course is 5 years and 10 sem each sem you will have jury.Very good course if you have great interest in design and stuff but if you are just doing a degree, it's not your cup of tea.There would be juries and stuff which would be overwhelming.
Placement Experience:
Since it is a national institute students are getting good placements in various companies . Especially of computer science electrical branches. They average package is like 7 to 9 lakh. For architecture students in the four pair we have internship and after the 5th year students make continue in the firm where they did their internship or mostly go abroad for further studies. A lot of students want to continue studying take a MArch or Mplan and get a PHD. But for some other students like me who are planning to stop studying by the degree itself mostly go for some good firms and then go abroad and after getting some experience would start their own firm. Architecture is a field where you can work on your own . Also the highest package offer is nearly 30 lakh in the college for computer science department.

- having freedom to use the campus at any time.
- good support for the sports persons from the campus.
Dislikes
- dont have a proper infrastructure for sports.
- no proper entrances in to the campus some of the gates are closed.
- attendance percentage can be kept 70 instead of 80
Course Curriculum Overview:
there will live sesssion like field works and field trips thats helps in better understanding. for every semester they will collect teacher feedback personally from each student that helps in improvement or change of teacher. there will mid sem and end semester examinations and presentations in between and the difficulty levels will be moderate

i was intrested in the architecture course a lot.faculty are highly qualified.teaching methods are new.mid exams are conducted before the semester exams.easy to handle the exams but a lot pressure should be taken in this course.as architecture students dont have good time and sleep.

My sister completed her B.Tech from NIT Calicut a few years back. As a female student, she had a bitter experience at this college. Here are some of the things that she noticed during her stay at NIT Calicut-
- The girls hostel is very strict regarding outings. There is a fixed curfew from 7 pm to 6 am. Even for staying on campus after 7 pm, special permission is required.
- There are instances where you might encounter racism in the most casual manner, this is especially true for North Indian students.
- The hostel and college staff are blatantly partial towards female students and those who complain are told to leave the college.
- There is a system of daily roll call for female hostellers, which is again a gender-biased rule. The Resident Tutors are not supportive or helpful and may scold you for not attending the roll call even if you are new and not well aware of the hostel procedures.
- During LAN work or other repairs, no female attendee is present with the male workers within the girls hostel premises. The girls are expected to follow all the precautionary measures and no strict rules are laid for the male workers.
NIT Calicut is an institute of national importance with an excellent reputation and great placement records. However, as a female hosteller, my sister faced these obstacles which caused unnecessary frustration for her.
