have a good infrastructure for academics and hostels but lacking in sports infrastructure.
having freedom to use the campus at any time.
good support for the sports persons from the campus.

Dislikes

dont have a proper infrastructure for sports.
no proper entrances in to the campus some of the gates are closed.
attendance percentage can be kept 70 instead of 80

Course Curriculum Overview

there will live sesssion like field works and field trips thats helps in better understanding. for every semester they will collect teacher feedback personally from each student that helps in improvement or change of teacher. there will mid sem and end semester examinations and presentations in between and the difficulty levels will be moderate

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 6000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

fee will be based on the income group and scholarship are also provide based on income and reservations. nsp, silver jubliee, sjet etc scholarships are available for students. no other charges are collected like examination fee and all are included iin the college total fee itself.

Campus Life

college life is good in nit calicut we have so many internal fests. we have raganm south indias largest cultural fest and tathva south indias largest tech festival. we have good library including digital and normal. we have projectors in all the classrooms. sports s also given good priority.

Hostel Facilities

we will have a cot, table, fan and wifi facilities to some of the hostels currently they are working on wifi facilities. for food we can take whatever mess we want based on our interest food taste is ok. we can register for hostel in hostel office.

Hostel Fee: INR 70000 per year

Admission

for getting entrance in NIT calicut architecture we need to write jee main paper II examinations, we can write exam by selecting the examination centre. the cut off varies each year based on number of asperants mostly it should a minimum of 98 percentile. after that we need to get our certificates to college for confirming our seats which includes small procedures directed by the college.

College of Engineering Trivandrum. Is it worth the hype

Placement Experience:

As I'm a first year student I don't know much about placements but I think it starts by 8th sem for b arch students. Placements for barch are low compare to btech. But as this is a prestigious institution the best firms come here and there is a unit called CGPU for helping students regarding placements here.

I like architecture because of its creatove and practicality. And in pur college they are making sure of combining those two together. Their teaching methods are good for me because i am learning so much. But not for everyone they are sl friendly in outside i think if they are so friendly in college . The students might like the letures more. The jury and exams are mostly collide that is a not good thing for us. They are making sure of the real world works so that we can actually survive after the college.

Im a passionate student architect. From childhood, I had this dream of becoming a creator. So I chose this course. There is a good ratio of faculty student ratio in the private colleges all over india. I'm not sure about the teaching method because this is more like a self learning course. But faculties are also helpful most of the time. Jury subjects are tougher than written examinations.

Admission here is given on the basis of rank secured in NATA. With my rank I cleared the cutoff in general category in third round. I want my college to be near my home. So I can travel daily from my home. With my rank this was the best option I was getting and hence I opted for this.

NITC Glimpses

Remarks:

Ours is a National College. People from different background from different parts of india do come to study in college.I can't say that The Faculty in our College is too good. But they are quite okay. The faculties of the first year Maths are too poor. Most of them are ADHOC. Some Faculty treat the students as their own children, being liberal to them, while some at the same time just know how to teach, not to mingle with the students. Rest all branches dont have that much placement opportunity as compared to CSE. Positive 1.One of the biggest quality is the exposure that a student gets while studying in this college.The lectures are of high standards and the professors are of international demand. 2.An another good quality is the placement that we get from this college.people from across Kerala always praise the high quality of placements that we get in this college Negative 1.The lecture classes are very much one way, rather than being more interactive 2.Mosquito in some hostels

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college.
