Course Curriculum Overview :
We have 6 subjects and all the subjects are designed to encourage research and thinking out of the box. Some subjects like thermodynamics is all about practice and achieving perfection. Overall the course curriculum is good.
Placement Experience :
Internships are catalysts for change from being a student to becoming a professional. Students undergo extensive training under the supervision of a registered architect. It helps students develop drafting skills, design aesthetic as well as functional buildings, adapt designs to suit budget constraints or client needs, design with building codes and environmental factors in mind, etc. Students learn to engage with clients, consultants, contractors, field staff and workers and work as a team. They get hands on experience in project inception, tendering, estimation, onsite execution, etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities :
The expense structure of the college l is very reasonable and practical, I feel. It's prudent. The charges are Rs 100,000 for each annum which makes it to Rs 500,000 on an aggregate for a time of five years which isn't over the top expensive.
Campus Life :
SSA is with well equipped model making workshop, Carpentry, Survey and Electrical Workshops and Visual arts Studio. The architectural design studio is a physical environment where students are primarily taught the aspects of design education. SSA is having ten studios cum Lecture Halls with an area of 250 sq.m per studio.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel facilities are very good they have two separate hostels for boys and girls earlier there was only girls hostel but now they also have boys hostel. Rooms are pretty good and spacious and mess food is also good.
Admission :
Selection to B.Arch programme is based purely on merit. Selection will be done by SSA giving due weightage to the marks obtained in 10+2 examination and the NATA score. Merit is the only criterion for selection.
Faculty :
Faculties are quite encouraging. They are all well qualified and experienced. They have thorough knowledge of their respective subjects. Most of the faculties have their career pursued abroad in top colleges. So we have the benefits of aquiring that standard of knowledge from them.
