Dislikes
- The department is very far from the hostels, even though buses are available it is quite hard because we might be carrying charts, models , instruments etc
- There's no lift but it's okayy. The architecture department is different from other branches kinda like more isolated from the rest of the departments but there's a unity among the architecture students which has positive and negative aspects.
- The course is 5 years and 10 sem each sem you will have jury.Very good course if you have great interest in design and stuff but if you are just doing a degree, it's not your cup of tea. There would be juries and stuff which would be overwhelming.
Course Curriculum Overview
There was change in the curriculum recently. We learn maths physics structures mechanics materials history culture Visual arts design and also various labs like electrical mechanical surveying material testing. There is also field trip from 2nd year onwards. Each semester there are midsem exams and endsem exams. There would be 5 theory subjects approximately and lab exams would be there. There would be continuous evaluations group assessments individual assignments and at the end of each semester there would be jury. For you really will have to submit all or design sheets and work. We are continuously being evaluated and internal assessment marks are there in also exam marks are included for a final CGPA. For theory subjects we would have exams and written assignments mostly. Some cases we would have to present some group assignments, also some test would be there. For lab exam that would be written test practical and lab records. For Jury external faculty would be there for evaluating
Internships Opportunities
For architecture students in the fourth year they will have an internship. Lekin sunlight architectures of the choice if they accept you you can work there for SMS sir and then you will have to submit all your works to the department as a part of marking for your 7th sem. Student tend to continue working there till they get enough experience after graduation. But mostly internships are not paid. It is just a part of your learning. Other department there would be internship opportunity as well there would be placement more often after completing the degree
Placement Experience
Since it is a national institute students are getting good placements in various companies . Especially of computer science electrical branches. They average package is like 7 to 9 lakh. For architecture students in the four pair we have internship and after the 5th year students make continue in the firm where they did their internship or mostly go abroad for further studies. A lot of students want to continue studying take a MArch or Mplan and get a PHD. But for some other students like me who are planning to stop studying by the degree itself mostly go for some good firms and then go abroad and after getting some experience would start their own firm. Architecture is a field where you can work on your own . Also the highest package offer is nearly 30 lakh in the college for computer science department.
Fees and Financial Aid
Everybody is supposed to take the entire hostel fee but foot tuition fee the fee structure is different for different categories students. For Indian native students the fee is divided into three section the students having income above 5 lakh ,students having income between 1 to 5 lakh and the students having income less than 1 lakh. For students having income above 5 lakhs like they have to pay about 75000 as tuition fee. For income between 1 to 5 lakhs tuition fee is 49000 nearly. For students having income less time 1 lakh there is no tuition fee. Hostel pay in the beginning you have to pay 55000 and rest would be 30000 per semester. All the fee mentioned is for each sem. And apart from this the course is architecture and you have to spend a lot of money for stationery ,sheets ,printing. So far a student having income above 5 lakh you will have to pay nearly 250000 each year. Which is pretty high especially when the income is in the border.
Campus Life
There is a technical first call tathva and cultural festival Ragam. Also there as management first Tarang. The department of architecture context ADIZYA. Which happens every year. That why is usually held at the end of the year mostly in November and album is held during March April time and Adizya is usually held during tathva. There are various clubs in the college maths club dance club drama club a lot. And the library ,it is a very digitalised library and also easily accessible that are a lot of books available as well. You also have a digital library it's completely AC and you can say there in hot Times. Mere se computer centre where you can access computers anytime. And regarding the architecture department it is open everytime so students can work whenever they want.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is very nice for 1st year girls some get rooms of 5 , some rooms of 2,3 and 4. For architecture students a single floor is dedicated to them. Which in my opinion is very good decision from the management. And in from 2nd year onwards you can select your roommate you would get a room of double occupancy in the mega hostel of girls. The food is very good and the hostel ambience is great. You have a beauty parlour a night mess e cooperative so where you can buy necessary stationary books beauty products you also have a print shop in the hostel itself. The only flow is that day hostel is very far from the department you have to cross the road or even get it taxi to reach the department on time if you have to work it is nearly 1 km to the department there are buses running time to time but since there are a lot of students the buses are always crowded. You can registered the hostel during the time of allotment and fee payment.

Faculty
The faculties are mostly PhD holders. The professors are all having the title Dr and assistant professors are post graduates and PhD holders. They are always ready to mentor us and since it is a course that requires mentorship they provide genuine and critical reviews that are important for the course. For studio courses there are 10 faculties for 64 students which is a good number of faculty for individual assistance.During the time of review they are genuine and also very friendly and approachable. There is a faculty advisor for every batch student. The same faculty advisor would be that will be end of the course. He or she would be like a class teacher to whom we'll be sharing all queries and take care of all other matters which needs sign from the head of the department and all. During the time of jury we would be working a lot and the faculties are very kind & they will reply to all are doubts and the mentor us properly. Even though they give us work they are all kind, loving &friendly
