A sneak peak to NIT CALICUT

the curriculum was changed from the previous years in 2023 a new curriculum was introduced , earlier the 1st year students had acommon curriculum irrespective of their branches but now the 1st years are studying subject what earlier students studied in 2nd an3rd year , the curriculum is more of a branch specific.

Their are many companies that visit for internship in this college namely , oracle, goldmansachs, p and g , bajaj, mahindra , etc and if someone has the ambition to do group projects they can even get funded by institute if their idea is good

the placements in nit calicut is one of the best in india according to previous years placements stats the number of students placed were close to 1100 which is a big number ,considering that previous year was time of layoff and recession

AS a general category student {income>5,00,000} your fee will be around 1lakh 10 thousand per semester, this includes your tution feees and your mess fees etc, coming to sc, st students they do get concession in tution fee , and a general ews or obc candidate also gets fee concession like if their income is less than 1 lakh a year tution fee won't be there and if their incomeis between 1lakh to 5 lakh a year then they r supposed to pay only 1/3 of their tution fee. the college offers various scholarship opportutnity and mostly students get it.

overall in nit calicut you will get a feel of small india as every state here celebrates their festival and the clubs of nit calicut are too good , the alumni network is also better , the infrastructure is awesome and many things are still being built like a subway that connects directly to central library ..

Hostel facility is just world classs their are as many as 13 messes and a student can choose anyone he/she wants except the 1st year students as they are supposed to eat in the mess offered by their respective messes

according to my jee rank this was the best college that i was getting , and also heren in nit calicut there are so mant things to explore like culbs which makes robots , club which make drone , club which makes drones etc.

the faculty members in the mechanical department are good in terms of knowledge they all have done phd from old iits and some of them have also doe phd from iisc's which makes them a genius in their own field ..
