My honest Opinion

Architecture is really creative course and we need to complete the tasks on daily basis and for this course especially we have specific subjects like design the internal marking will be based on the daily or frequent submissions and interaction with the faculties. The exams will be a bit diffcult because the nit calicut Architecture course ranking is nirf 3. And the things we learn here will much much useful for the future and we will be doing an compulsory internship in the complete course time

Mostly the students get placed in the final year that is 4rth year for the btech and 5th year for the barch Comparitive to the other departments the barch has lesser opportunities in the placements and the average salary would be 3 lakhs to 5 lakhs. I want to study masters after getting the degree may in some iits

I come under the category of ews ( below 100000) The yearly fee for academics i am currently paying is 29000 and for the hostels it is same for every student 26000 for the hostel maintainance like electricity and bed etc and 60000 as mess advance fee My friends parents who is having govt jobs they needs to pay nearly 1,50000 as their yearly academic fee The st category of our joining year batch 2022 needs to pay amount of 29000 as the yearly academic fee

There two main fests in the campus every year namely ragam and tathva people get enjoyed in the time of ragam and thatva many programmes will be held in the fest lots of food stalls and others in the campus Each fest will be of 3 days and the ragam will be in the months of march There will central library which can be accessible for every student it contains digital library as well as physical books .we get to see lot of people in the time of exams for their preparations The college has various clubs like tech clubs , cultural clubs and etc . I am also part of adventure club it feels so relaxing and inspiration some times because of these clubs and u get lot of new connections here. There will campus sports activities and we have college teams and they conduct inter nits and inter department competition which very useful for physical and mental health I was part of college kabaddi team and participated in the inter nit tournament which was held in nit surthatkal.

they will provide the the room will cupboard and the beds , remaining all the things should be arranged by ourselves In the first year the room will be shared by 5 people and from second year the room sharing will be of 2 people and in the final year it will single room. The mess will be inside the hostels and there will different messes serving differnt types of of foods , u can opt for the mess u want. The registration for the hostel is through college hostel app that will be provided after getting admission into the college.

My first preference was nit trichy (architecture) because it is one of the top colleges in india . I couldn't get the seat in the college because of my category and rank in the entrance exams. I first got a seat in bit mesra which is again one of the top colleges and also in nit calicut At last i choose to join nit calicut which is best for my course because at my admission year the nirf rank is 2 which is best college. To get into these prestigious colleges we need to appear for the entrance examination which is jee mains paper 2 in india and after the results we need to appear for the counselling process and give ur list of priority and u get the result by the end of the rounds.

Coming to my course it is so interactive with the facilities every day The facilities monitor each student and we get the marks on the performance of each stage. They will be in the campus and we can reach them easily if we are having any doubt. We love our faculty adviser Dr.sanil kumar ,He is so caring and not partial to anyone and teaches values and ethics of a human which is not part of his job and he will be very friendly with everything other than the study time.

We have ladies gym but with lesser equipment, but we have college gym also which is fully equipped with trainers. The college and hostel have curfews for the students The students have to enter their respective hostels before 12 am Kozhikode is nearest city where u get most facilities and most students go there in weekends or the night to enjoy the beaches of kerala and also malls. It is very safe in the campus because u get to see security everywhere at any time . U can them any help if u are scared .
