- Placement and alumini: the institute has an immense alumini network along with the placement cell which attracts the top high paying companies ensuring good job opportunities for the students.it also enables research and further studies.
- I appreciate nitc's commitment to academic excellence, with a strong faculty and diverse range of courses that provide a well-rounded education.
- I like the cultural fests like festivals being celebrated here which is very nice .
Dislikes
- In nit calicut gym was not free we want pay for it this thing i really hatred
- Fees are very high when we compared to other nits nit calicut collecting more fees which becoming heavy burden to poor students like me they don't even giving concession most of the people are not getting scholarships
- Our hostels are too old and actually it is alloted for 3 people but they are keeping 4 people in a room wash rooms are also not so good.

- Campus life is amazing, lush green with less pollution
- Clubs are real good, with much more student involvement
- People and food is as well really good, easily available
Dislikes
- As the campus is 23 km away from main city, has lesser outside life.
- Transportation options, are less and time bound
Placement Experience:
We have an amzing placement cell with opportunitires from training to placements in firms, like, JP Morgan, L&T, Exxon Mobil, etc.
They start this from the pre-final year ends and run over a year.
Package differs with each year, starting with 3-4 LPA and going to 60-80 LPA as well.
More than 70 % get placed for sure, many go for master's and gov jobs as well.
I graduated with a degree and a Gold Medal, placed at L&T.

Placement Experience:
Almost more than 70 percent of the students will get placed in campus placement. The average package will in 6 lakhs range. My plan after the degree is to get masters from a good institute.

Remarks:
The campus is so nice with a pleasent environment and nature around us because of trees and birds. Canteens are nice and feasible. The cost of food is affordable. Right from friends to faculty, everything is good. Things are taught in a very organized way, where students are taught to learn things with enthusiasm. Students are taught how to live harmoniously with each other even though everyone belongs to different race and culture.

Remarks:
Best infrastructure with low fee was the key attraction of the institute. If you are more of an individual learner the facilities could be used quite well in excelling or reaching great heights in career in the institutes environment.

Ours is a National College. People from different background from different parts of india do come to study in college.I can't say that The Faculty in our College is too good. But they are quite okay. The faculties of the first year Maths are too poor. Most of them are ADHOC. Some Faculty treat the students as their own children, being liberal to them, while some at the same time just know how to teach, not to mingle with the students. Rest all branches dont have that much placement opportunity as compared to CSE.
Positive 1.One of the biggest quality is the exposure that a student gets while studying in this college.The lectures are of high standards and the professors are of international demand. 2.An another good quality is the placement that we get from this college.people from across Kerala always praise the high quality of placements that we get in this college Negative 1.The lecture classes are very much one way, rather than being more interactive 2.Mosquito in some hostels

What is your review of the National Institute of Technology Calicut?

My sister completed her B.Tech from NIT Calicut a few years back. As a female student, she had a bitter experience at this college. Here are some of the things that she noticed during her stay at NIT Calicut-
- The girls hostel is very strict regarding outings. There is a fixed curfew from 7 pm to 6 am. Even for staying on campus after 7 pm, special permission is required.
- There are instances where you might encounter racism in the most casual manner, this is especially true for North Indian students.
- The hostel and college staff are blatantly partial towards female students and those who complain are told to leave the college.
- There is a system of daily roll call for female hostellers, which is again a gender-biased rule. The Resident Tutors are not supportive or helpful and may scold you for not attending the roll call even if you are new and not well aware of the hostel procedures.
- During LAN work or other repairs, no female attendee is present with the male workers within the girls hostel premises. The girls are expected to follow all the precautionary measures and no strict rules are laid for the male workers.
NIT Calicut is an institute of national importance with an excellent reputation and great placement records. However, as a female hosteller, my sister faced these obstacles which caused unnecessary frustration for her.
