Ragam tathva adiziya and many other cultural fests are on our collegeGood college there is enough extra carricullar activities. South India biggest fest called ragam was organised by our college and students and we have famous tech fest called tathva that was also organized by students of nitc and one more famous one called adiziya

Our college has feasible fee structure since it is a national institute students from all regions of country are there and from different classes so fees are on feasible way and I think a middle class family can easily afford the fee structure of our college

Thourough the entrance exams we want to prepare for the entrance exams called her mains first then for advanced there are jee main paper 1 and paper 2 paper one is for b tech entries and paper two is for architecture students so we can get admission in nitc

Faculties are good enough there are many faculties who are very good in their fields they are very trained and good experienced ones they have very good connections thourough all the country and the intrustries all over in India so they are good faculties

life in a campus

Likes

having a best campus life there, high-quality programs are providing
high-quality education, and giving more opportunities to develop our skills
full green campus giving peacefull evinornment

Dislikes

faculties make semester more difficult by giving projects that they dont even have an idea about
some of the faculties have some passuality
strong management and all, but sometimes they are not approachable

Course Curriculum Overview:

we needed to attend a internship program of 100 days in semester 7,thats actually helps to have a real life experience and also get a training before we graduate .also now in semester 9 we need to attend a spetial caurse ,that we can choose based on our intrest , which helps to develop our skills and will have a estra cerfication also.

Number of students in one class is 40.There is only ome batch
canteen facility is needs to be improved
College maintains a healthy environment but infrastructure is average

In first year it is more practical works as basic design includes modeling, paper works, sketching etc...helps to development conceptual, understanding skills. From 4th semester onwards digital works starts. For that provide a class period of cad,revit softwares etc

Admission:

Selection to B.Arch programme is based purely on merit. Selection will be done by SSA giving due weightage to the marks obtained in 10+2 examination and the NATA score. Merit is the only criterion for selection.

Remarks:

The College and College hostel won't let them use phones. Even though phones are allowed in hostels as per government rule. The College is a little strict and still treats us like school students. But the College is free in some terms but controlled a lot.

My college is not so good to live a life in college. It is okay just for study and not for any extra curricular activities so i dont actually prefer my college for a creative student who wants to explore.

My Experience at NIT Calicut

I chose this college because of strong reputation , good placements and quality of education. I applied to other NITs and state engineering colleges and received some admissions,but selected this college because I preffered Electrical Engineering. In some higher ranked colleges, I was getting lower-preference branches,so I chose a good branch in a good college instead. Admission is based on the JEE Main score through JoSAA counselling. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college.
