Remarks

Best college in my state. Under central government. Admission process was pretty much simple which got concluded in 2-3 days timespan.

Course Curriculum Overview

I was interested and had passion for architecture since lower classes itself. Faculty to student ratio is roughly 1:10 . All senior faculties and most of the faculties had masters and years of experience in the field. Exams were conducted in each one and half months span as per preplanned schedule from management.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 350000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Worked as an intern in the architect's eye in kumbalam as part of the program. Worked in many residential projects in the firm.

Placement Experience

Almost more than 70 percent of the students will get placed in campus placement. The average package will in 6 lakhs range. My plan after the degree is to get masters from a good institute.

Fees and Financial Aid

Semester fees is close to 36000. And mess and hostel fees per month is in 4000-6000 range. Institute had for many scholarships.

Campus Life

NITC had 2 major cultural fests in each year (ragam and tathva which was done in huge scale) and many smaller fests in each fortnight. Institute had 2 libraries (a normal and a digital library).

Hostel Facilities

Had all the basic facilities like clean water, current, infrastructure, and had facilities like WiFi, night mess, recreational area, sports spaces, etc etc. The meal quality was extremely good with multi cuisine mess. Registration process was pretty much simple.

Hostel Fee: INR 34000 per year

College of Engineering Trivandrum. Is it worth the hype

Placement Experience:

As I'm a first year student I don't know much about placements but I think it starts by 8th sem for b arch students. Placements for barch are low compare to btech. But as this is a prestigious institution the best firms come here and there is a unit called CGPU for helping students regarding placements here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like architecture because of its creatove and practicality. And in pur college they are making sure of combining those two together. Their teaching methods are good for me because i am learning so much. But not for everyone they are sl friendly in outside i think if they are so friendly in college . The students might like the letures more. The jury and exams are mostly collide that is a not good thing for us. They are making sure of the real world works so that we can actually survive after the college.

Im a passionate student architect. From childhood, I had this dream of becoming a creator. So I chose this course. There is a good ratio of faculty student ratio in the private colleges all over india. I'm not sure about the teaching method because this is more like a self learning course. But faculties are also helpful most of the time. Jury subjects are tougher than written examinations.

Admission:

Admission here is given on the basis of rank secured in NATA. With my rank I cleared the cutoff in general category in third round. I want my college to be near my home. So I can travel daily from my home. With my rank this was the best option I was getting and hence I opted for this.

NITC Glimpses

Remarks:

Ours is a National College. People from different background from different parts of india do come to study in college.I can't say that The Faculty in our College is too good. But they are quite okay. The faculties of the first year Maths are too poor. Most of them are ADHOC. Some Faculty treat the students as their own children, being liberal to them, while some at the same time just know how to teach, not to mingle with the students. Rest all branches dont have that much placement opportunity as compared to CSE. Positive 1.One of the biggest quality is the exposure that a student gets while studying in this college.The lectures are of high standards and the professors are of international demand. 2.An another good quality is the placement that we get from this college.people from across Kerala always praise the high quality of placements that we get in this college Negative 1.The lecture classes are very much one way, rather than being more interactive 2.Mosquito in some hostels

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. Life at NITC by Vimosh Kumar

I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college.
