Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because it was seemingly best options in my rank cutoff, faculty student ratio is fair with faculty being qualified enough and teaching methods is somewhat fine too. Term exams were on time with fairly easy to pass.

Internships Opportunities

I don't have much idea about internship scenario currently so I can't.say much about but I am trying to get some off camous internship currently so I will see on campus internship at 3rd year only....

Placement Experience

Placement scenario is good in the college with avg. Package around 15 lacs. Students become eligible for placements after 6th semester. Highest package laste year was 88 lpa. My plans are either getting good placement or higher studies after getting degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure is for general students with income more that 5 lacs it's 74,500 per semester after the recent fee hike, there are many scholarship on basis of caste but not much for general candidates.

Campus Life

Campus Life is good with tathva being annual tech fest and Ragam being cultural fest. Most of books you will need are available in library. Infrastructure is fairly well built with some improvements and renovation needed in hostels

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facility is just.fine with some hostels needing some serious renovation to some just got renovated. Mess food in some.hostels is terrible especially for.veg diet there are only 1 or 2 mess which give good quality food. Registration process is simpler and easy but accomodation being overpriced compared to facilities.

Hostel Fee: INR 66000 per year

Admission

Admission requires JEE Main Entrance exam, Cutoff for Admission in Electrical and Electronics Engineering goes around 18000 All India CRL, Application fee is 1000 for General Candidates, After exams eat allocation happens through JOSAA counselling

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college. Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
