College placements are offered in economics department after MA i.e. in CESP and CITD. The jobs are most in dats fields or economic research. The packages range from 7LPA to 15LPA. Companies like HSBC, EXL, PWC, CII visit every year in economics department for recruitments. There is a percentage criteria decided by every firm but if you have a 6 our 9 gpa you are good to go. Moreover, a lot students pursue higher research from India and abroad after doing a master's from JNU. the professors here have incredible networking which aids the students get admission in foreign universities.

Great placements to Oracle, Amazon, Accenture and such. Around 9 people from BA-3 and MA-2 got Accenture job this year. 14 Lakh package is probably the highest, keep in mind you barely spend anything on the fee and the income return is very big in comparison.

In my opinion this course curriculum is pretty fine in the current situation. I opted this course after seeing the relationship of japan and India in every field. If I suggest some improvement is like teachers should put more focus every student level. And the frequency of exams is like every month we have exams and their difficulty level is not much difficult

We have a regular sessional which is counted with the end semester exams, these exams always encourage us to study more and vividly shows are bad points and good areas in Japanese language. The importance of consistency is reflected in our course curriculum. We have exam every month that are counted with the end semester and we have text every alternate day

I am learning a foreign language that is Korean. It is fun to study this language my be because the curriculum is designed in such a way(although learning a new language is not easy especially when the script is unknown to you).

Japanese language course isn't easily found in India. Less than 10 colleges provide bachelor and masters degree on Japanese language in India. JNU's Japanese Department is one of the finest amongst the country. The syllabus, though the book followed is a bit old, it covers a lot of aspect of the language. On top of that, the opportunities to get scholarship is high only in JNU. After 2nd year, students get the opportunity to go to Japan as foreign exchange students or as research scholars.

As I earlier mentioned that my course is Korean language, so the relevancy of the course is way better than other courses, because as all of you know, South korea is a developed country and they have K-pop. They can use pop as soft power.

I choose this course because the language is easy to learn and have more upcoming opportunities in the future. The curriculum here is quite good and is followed religiously. But it would be even better if we could have Native teachers in our course as well.
