Likes

I love the culture of awarness programs and talks on various issues
The campus, its full of trees and nature
The interaction between senior and juniors and of course the dhaba culture.

Dislikes

The people spreading fake news about JNU
The increasing number of gender gap with each new batches coming in the campus, earlier it use to be 51% girls which is now reduced to 40%
The administration not putting the required efforts to maintain the culture as well as infrastructure of the university

Course Curriculum Overview

We have a regular sessional which is counted with the end semester exams, these exams always encourage us to study more and vividly shows are bad points and good areas in Japanese language. The importance of consistency is reflected in our course curriculum. We have exam every month that are counted with the end semester and we have text every alternate day

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of Jnu is very cheap. They provide us hostel and the food provided in the hostels consists of a lot of varities at an economical price and the taste is cosiderably good. We obtain scholarship like mcm, mext and toufus for Japanese students (they conduct exams as well as interview after qualifying one can go to Japan for a year snd they also receive stipend monthly from the government)

Campus Life

The jnu is more inclined towards seminars, debates and talk sessions rather than club culture. Although it has various sports, drama and dance clubs which are usually organized by a particular political party or student Union. The JNU's campus and it's life is the best for me because of the freedom, nature, etc..

Admission

It required getting more then the cut off in the cuet examination. We can get it from the nta official website. The students is required to opt for general test as well english and score a decent marks... To be precise more than 85 or 86 to get into Japanese center

Faculty

Our center faculty, most of them have studied in Japan. They are very fluent in their Japanese with a great grasp in their teaching skill and making it easier for we students. They are all phds in Japanese language and international relations in Indo-Japan relation

Dyal Singh Placements aren't that hefty that I can boast a lot about them. Since I have already mentioned in previous section that I want the deepest knowledge of political science and the only way, one can gain that is by doing masters. Coming to DSC placements over 30% students of Political Science from our college are placed via campus.

Vivekananda College is a dream of every girl!

Placement Experience:

Media people as Hindi Hons students obviously have chane there or researches. Some even pursue freelance things as college provides the perfect platform to gain confidence and showcase the skills. Otherwise research or political expert roles are the only roles offered to Hindi Hons students. Since I want a complete command I will be doing masters in Hindi Hons.

DSC is a decent college!

Placement Experience:

DSC placements are not that great as around 30-40% students are placed and that is how it is here. Most students of Political Science go for higher studies or get job opportunities in political consultancy or journalism.

For placements, there's not much on campus placement programs. Our placement cells are active though. Time to time they keep us posted about the upcoming internship or job opportunities and even invite various organisations for placements. Gargi : A home to a stranger

Course Curriculum Overview:

I love the course I have opted for in the College. I had so much interest in literature since I was in school, hence made the decision to opt for English Honours in my undergraduate degree. The curriculum of this particular course is easy to get, teaches practical knowledge. We have Internal Assesment and Continuous Assessment before theory exams. In continuous assessment, we are given some topic to make presentation or a group discussion from our sense of knowledge and experience. Speaking up in a crowd and in front of the whole class gives the practical knowledge of being there, present, confidence and speak up your thoughts I would love if we can also watch theatre within the curriculum as we read various plays but watching and analysing them would be great. Mostly the exams are held in December and May, they are moderate level of examination and I have found absolute no difficulty sitting in them and writing. We get 3 hours for the core subjects, and 1 hour for our respective VACs, SECs and AECs.

Bachelor of Language at JNU

I applied in Delhi University for Bachelor of Management studies got Aryabhatta college as it was mistakenly my first preference, I had enough marks to get admission into a better college compared to Aryabhatta college for BMS, So I left that. Than I applied in Jawaharlal Nehru University for BA Hons French as it seemed very interesting course. And compared to Aryabhatta college, JNU was very cheap, had hostel and very other facilities like 24*7 library, college life. The fee for Aryabhatta college was 27000 I guess and 268 for JNU. I aplied in these two universities only , luckily scored good so I didn't have to wait for second list. The admission for JNU was also very smooth, You have to fill the application form online after cuet result(Generally 85-90% is safe score), it cost around 250 rupees, then after result , you have to visit university with your documents like 10th,12th marksheet, Aadhar card, migration certificate, character certificate and within one day you will get your admission process done. You'll be allocated with your hostel and ID card, library slip then and there....Read More

Review of Jawaharlal Nehru University

I applied for delhi University but it's free. Structure is quite high as compares to JNU.Jnu is affordable for students and provide huge campus with lots of opportunity and placements. First you have to score above 75 in your 12th board. Then you have written Jee mains and you have to score well; there is a benefit to their categories. After this you have to participate in JOSAA counselling if you got the seat; about their categories, you have to pay and fill in other details mentioned and if you do not find any seat, you have to go with csab counselling. JNU: FAR FROM EXPECTATIONS (in a good way)

candidates must have more than 75% marks in 12th board exams for eligibility. application form for exam (JEE MAINS) is found on jeemain.nta.nic.in website I did not recieve reservation benefits other than income based EWS reservation.
