Course Curriculum Overview

4

The ba programe here is little different from other colleges accross the country. The curriculum is quite diversified. If you are intrested in arts , there is lot to learn. If one want to become writter or any thing related to literature , or want to become historian , geo-politics expert, etc. The course is quite good. The exams held every four and a half or five months and the difficulty level is moderate.

Fees and Financial Aid

The year - wise fees is 12,765. The total 3 year fees will be 38,295 and if one wants to pursue the 4th year , the total would be 51,060. Than at the exam time the fees for the examination form would varry from 1100 to 1400 according to the course. There is no reservation in fee for any category...

Campus Life

5

The campus life is good. If one attend the college regularly the campus life would be amazing. There are lots of societies related to every filed like sports , drama , singing , , , dancing , painting, etc. The class rooms are quite big and very well maintained as there are projectors for better experience. Sports matches often held and various other competitions also.

Admission

I choosed this college over 2 other colleges of delhi university. Beacuse the rating of this college was high from colleges. Also it is located at a nice place , the environment is amazing. I was rejected by some top colleges like hindu college and st. Stephens as my cuet score was not that good but the three colleges I got selected in , out of that three I chose dyal singh college (evening) The addmission process was very easy , I had to submit the first year fees online and that it. The document verification was done after 2 months. There was no rust at all.

Faculty

5

The faculty to student ratio is good. There are enough teachers for students in my college. Till now I have studied from various faculty members like thapar sir , aakriti mam, etc and they are very good teachers. There are 6 sem (if you want to pursue for 3 years , otherwise 8 sem) 7 subjects for 2 years than there will be 6. The difficulty level is moderate like if you study decently , you will score good marks.

Night Life

5

There are no gym is the college. Yes , there is a canteen which is quite big and serve good food at lower prices than shops outside the college. There are no hostels in most colleges in delhi university. The campus timings are like from early morning to 5 pm in evening. Students can come according to their classes and leave anytime they want. There are various stalls outside the college and there is a very famous maggi point just outside the gate of the college.

Area that should be improved that is treat every student similarly without any discrimination. Faculty don't even tdke action on sol, IGNOU and NCWEB students. So I think it should be improved firstly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very broad and relevant, it covers both theory and practical aspects of the subject. It is very nice to prepare for further higher studies, though more real-world cast studies and interactive teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is relevant to the current aspects of real world. It is also very focused on the practical component of the subject and helps us know how to apply our theoretical concepts in real life. Aspects that influenced me were: the practicality, the relatibiltiy of concepts and the testing approaches as well.

Placement Experience:

Since i am 2nd year myself, hearing from seniors, seeing placement cell activities and reading reports, placement at ipcw are decent but far from perfect. The placement drive is not as huge or reliable as some commerce Acc. to the nirf report, for ug courses out of 1204 eligible students 118 got placed, which is roughly 9-10, for pg course, out of 100 eligible students only 6 got placed. Median package for UG was 6.20 lakhs per annum, and for pg is 6.7 lakhs per annum. In earlier years (2022-23) , median UG package was higher. The highest package went to 23 lakhs per annum which was quite impressive. It was from DE Show and co., Wipro, Capgeminie etc. there are regular recruiters like DE. Shaw abd co.,Wipro, Capegemini, Godrej properties, Sirion Labs etc. What i feel personaly as an eco hons. student unless i build extra i cant really expect placement. Masters and competetive exams are next option

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum I took is okay considering the low placement percentage from the college's side which is I would say sometimes bad and good at the same time as the students can find their own way around such things. Faculty just complete the topics. we have to study ourselves.
