Likes
- Very nice faculty who are supportive and qualified. Better than the morning college.
- Evening college is also in the morning only. Its a fully fledged day college.
- Very active societies you can pick and choose from. Immensely helps you connect to your peers and seniors.
Dislikes
- The overall infrastructure is not upto par. Acs and smart boards are not available in regular classes. Seats and tables are also pretty bad. 6.5/10
- The boy to girl ratio is 5:1. Can be a little uncomfortable for girls however campus is safe.
- Overall number of fests that take place is very nominal due to previous fights in the campus and such scandals.
Course Curriculum Overview
Bcom hons has a high reputation and has a very high cut off all over du. Its arguably the best course you can choose from if you get a good score in cuet. Frequency of exams and difficulty level is minimal.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities exist from 1st year itself but its preferred to start from 2nd year and enjoy your first one. Teachers help you come accross such Internships and projects so as to prepare you for endless opportunities in the future.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements from the 4th semester itself. However it is preferable to focus on internships in the 2nd year and go for such placements after you complete your degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
14000 year wise payment. Total spending is also under a lakh. Very affordable for middle class general background students. Registration fees was around 1800. Financial aids are also available for limited students in need.
Campus Life
Annual and technical festivals are less frequent. Library is perfect to study and is very comfortable and cozy. Technology in regular classrooms is not upto par yet. Lots.of sports and extracurriculars activities. Student run societies are one of the best things in college, very active and will help you engage with people and learn end number of things.
Admission
I applied to other North Campus colleges but couldnt get thru because of the high cut off in bcom hons. I scored 681/800 as a general female with no other category. Applied to private colleges as well and got in but chose this college as its under DU and is one of the top colleges in South Campus. This was my 9-10th preference.
Faculty
Faculty is extremely approachable and will help in every step. Evening faculty for bcom hons is better than the morning faculty. 1st sem practicals start in December and sem 1 end exams are in January. Exams are not very hard and can be cleared by a dedicated student.
Night Life
Cafeteria is superb, the menu is vast offering veg and non veg both options. Pretty affordable and tasty food options which ranges from 40-150 rupees. No hostel availability. Lots of hangout places like Lodhi garden, habitat, Sunder Nursery, etc.
