Jawaharlal Nehru University has released the UG fee structure for the 2026–27 academic session, detailing course-wise tuition fees and other applicable charges for students.

Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has officially released the fee structure for UG programmes for the academic session 2026–27. The newly notified fee details cover tuition fees, annual charges, and category-wise semester fees applicable to students across various schools of the university.

JNU UG Fee Structure 2026–27

For BA (Hons.), BSc programmes, and Certificate of Proficiency (COP) courses, JNU continues to maintain a comparatively affordable fee structure. The annual tuition fee for BA (Hons.) and BSc programmes is ₹216, while COP students are required to pay ₹120 annually.

In addition, students must pay charges for sports, literary and cultural activities, library services, identity card, and other institutional facilities. Certain components, such as medical fees, NSS charges, and the Students’ Aid Fund, apply only to specific programmes. A refundable security deposit of ₹40 is also included.

Students are required to pay the tuition fee in two instalments, with the first instalment payable at the time of admission and the second at the time of registration for the Winter Semester (January). Annual fees must be paid at the beginning of each academic year.

Students enrolled simultaneously in a full-time and a part-time course will be charged all applicable fees for the full-time course and only the tuition fee for the part-time course. Late payment of fees will attract a fine as per university rules.

JNU BTech Fee Structure 2026–27

The School of Engineering, JNU, follows a category-wise tuition fee system. Students from SC/ST/PwD categories are exempted from tuition fees. Economically Most Backward students with an annual family income below ₹1 lakh are also exempted.

The tuition fee structure for the students admitted to the School of Engineering is as follows.
