But again, you have to draw the lines and make sure you don't lose focus. Campus life is also so liberating that the above is a bigger challenge than it might seem. Women feel safer on campus than anywhere else in the country, so there is freer interaction across gender boundaries. There's also a late night culture, which means you can be up till 3 in the morning and still run into lots of people at the dhabas. There are movie screenings, political activities such as protests and hunger strikes, you can hear some of the greatest minds in the country give public lectures. If you're receptive to it, JNU will change your life, expand your horizons, and challenge your comfortable ways of thinking. You're treated like an adult so you have to learn to be one quickly.

As per our research, JNU Placements are average. A good package depends on your skillset and the campus-visiting companies. A very few good companies visit JNU and you need to be good at your subjects to get a job. The JNU administration is putting out funds for placement improvement. But currently, placements are very less here. Not even 50% of the total students got placed. This is because some didn't have the required knowledge and partially because not many companies visited.

JNU: A Review of its Campus Life, Hostels, Facilities, and Opportunities.

The fee is quite nominal here, that is why it's enchanting for people from marginal and disadvantaged backgrounds. It ensures equity and sends the message of accessible high-quality higher education. Additionally, they also provide Nirman scholarships and MCM scholarships. whereas, Campus selection from my course is not possible and rarely happens, if ever happens.

Jawahar Lal Nehru University

JNU provides scholarship to students with family income below 2.5 lakh per annum. Form is available on university website, which we can print ,fill and submit. Apart from this various states of India provide scholarship to it's, students. Many International foundations like Ford foundation too provide scholarship to students. JNU also assists PhD students with scholarship in Yale university. In short, there is no dearth of support.

Jawaharlal Nehru University:Rethinking Education

I was granted merit cum means scholarship (MCM) of 2000 rs per month during my masters from the university administration based on my undergraduate percentage and annual family income. though a minimum GPA of 5.5 has to be maintained in all semesters to renew the scholarship. forms for MCM are available at individual departments at the beginning of each semester. along with MCM, I was granted national minority scholarship of 300 rs per month by the ministry of minority affairs. application for which is to be made at national scholarship portal.
