JNU also stands in the 15th position among the top universities in Southern Asia. Quacquarelli Symonds on June 27 announced the 2024 edition of World Universities, which shows the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay is the top university in India, followed by IIT Delhi, and IISc Bangalore in second and third places respectively.

You can get a lot of career and personality development opportunities. It also provide scholarship and internships to students.
Professors are highly educated and experienced. Teaching methods are also better. They also guide you to the future .

Dislikes

Water shortage, quality of food sometimes.

Internships Opportunities:

I can't say on this because as I'm still a 1st year student and don't know much about it because i haven't get one. But yes some seniors have got internships through professor contacts . But only a few students get internships not all.

The ambience of the university is extremely good. We can to stay within nature 24/7. The campus is addictive.

I personally do not like politics so I feel a bit off when stuff like that happens in the campus. Also the hotels are pretty old so that is also a demerit

Placement Experience:

For my course campus placement are offered from 3rd year and onwards. Companies like Accenture, Google ,Amazon etc hire our students. Average package 4-5 lakh per annum...higher ones go to around 14 lakhs too.

Professor and their teaching style is very unique and best everyone is very professional nd cooperative as well you'll get a good knowledge
The library is quite good and the study material are updated with time

The infrastructure of the JNU needs to be reconstructed Asap
Sometimes there's no water in hostels and that's kinda miserable and disgusting Delhi Jal board should work on it

IBM, SBI life ,Wipro, adani willmar, ICICI Bank, are the some of the companies that are offered under the internship program of JNU it is one of the bestest University in India it scored rank 1 in NIRF ranking 2024

You will surely explore you college life here

I liked diversity here students comes from all over the India so campus looks culturally rich.

Here are many old buildings and they need repair.
The most disliked thing here is slow administration here all the works is done on slow basis even getting hostels .

Here companies coming for mainly for ot sector in which they offered a role of software developer app developer any one in which your skills is upto work I have done intership in unacedamy online as a video editor and they offered me 49k for a month and I have done electronics related projects

I really liked the environment of the college. This is India's no. 1 is research university
Campus life is very good and different students from different states of India come here to study, there are different types of interactions with them and one gets to learn.

I don't find the politics in this to be anything special, there is discrimination here.
Here there is discrimination among students and teachers talk in two pieces.

You can do internship here in some companies which means some companies provide internship here or some such as AMDOCS company provides internship here.Here you can show projects on different subjects.

Jawaharlal Nehru university : At a glance.

The batch size is small and hence provide better co-operation with professors.
Hostels are eaisly available for engineering students as compared to another students.

As of now there is no any dedicated infrastructure for school of engineering. According to reports the new buikding is going to built by 2027 beside the AICTE.
The hostels infrastructure are very old. But for engineering students new hostels will be built along with schools Infrastructure.

The best companies which come for internship was tata counsltancy services, S & P global, Amdocs and many more. The S & P global has average stipend of 35k per month, while the tata consultancy services and Amdocs have 20k and 15k avergae stipend per month. There are more companies which comes for internship with avg stipend 6-8k per month. The S & P global and Amdocs comes for software developer while the tcs need the research analyst post. Overall here is very good opportunities for internship.

Life at JNU

Political environment is very enlightening and helps students shape opinions and develop a deeper understanding of the society.
Academic excellence- A lot many professors are graduates from world class universities including MIT and Havard. Hence they try to maintain their standard of teaching similar to those institutions.

The world here in too utopian. This place doesn't feel like the real world.
The professors are not very understanding if you are going into corporate or preparing for some civil service exam. They would rather have you do a PhD

Internships for economics department are provided in a number of ministries of the GOI. Moreover, private firms also give students opportunities to work on a monthly basis. Abhijeet sen rural intership is an annual internship for economics students. There is a GPN internship provided to CISLS and CESP students to do some research work which pays 20000 per month for a few months. Internships are mostly paid.

Great faculty, amazing Japanese scope. Scholarships given by JNU are top notch, including the prestigious MEXT scholarship
You are here to become employable and the good teachers will help you get there.

Extremely competitive environment, gets toxic at times.
Right wing political influence decides who gets appointed as teacher. ABVP hooliganism is rampant at times.

Great placements to Oracle, Amazon, Accenture and such. Around 9 people from BA-3 and MA-2 got Accenture job this year. 14 Lakh package is probably the highest, keep in mind you barely spend anything on the fee and the income return is very big in comparison.

Life at JNU - MCA

Fee is very nominal like for mca I pay only 108 per semester, 250 for 1 sem only
Mess food is also good, a number of mess available, but you allot a particular mess, but sometime you can choose where to eat for other mess there is minor charge of 35 rupees per meal

Mess charges continuously even if we didn't eat meal, for this we have to take rebate, signature from department
In our lecture room there is no sound system so that backbenchers could hear properly.

Well I m in first sem so I haven't applied for any internship yet, but teachers are supportive they are timely provide you links to join internship, In summer you can join one , and can improve your resume

Jawaharlal Nehru University is one of the top University of India . This campus is so beautiful and nature loving. There are greenary all around the campus . This University give you so much of opportunities. And you are free to speak in this campus.
This University has so much diversity. Student from every part of India come here for higher studies. This University is very favourable to all the citizens because of its low fee . This campus gives you freedom . Nobody judge here whatever you do .

The infrastructure of this University is very old . Hostel are very poor especially boys hostel . Ceiling of the hostel falls sometimes. So infrastructure is very old .needs to repair .
Placement cell are not disciplined to their work. Very less companies visits the campus. And not all the department provide the campus placement. Needs to improve this

There are various opportunities to get here in terms of placement. But the placement cell is not active for all the department. Language students gets many companies like Amazon,Google , concentrix. And most of the employees in these company around Delhi are from JNU . So seek their job ownself because placement cell are not much active. In economics department placement cell are very active and the students here get good package. There are internship opportunities here. To work on field work and to do the research on the ground level. Language student get so much of opportunities like tour guide, translator. So there are opportunities here.
