As per students and alumni, studying at JNU can be liberating and scary at the same time. At the MPhil/PhD level, there's an exciting research atmosphere, and you can really feel that you're among people who are here to do genuine research. But again, you have to draw the lines and make sure you don't lose focus. Campus life is also so liberating that the above is a bigger challenge than it might seem. Women feel safer on campus than anywhere else in the country, so there is freer interaction across gender boundaries. There's also a late night culture, which means you can be up till 3 in the morning and still run into lots of people at the dhabas. There are movie screenings, political activities such as protests and hunger strikes, you can hear some of the greatest minds in the country give public lectures. If you're receptive to it, JNU will change your life, expand your horizons, and challenge your comfortable ways of thinking. You're treated like an adult so you have to learn to be one quickly.

Is it worth taking admission to JNU for Masters?

As per our research, if you want to pursue MA in one of the streams offered at JNU, then its totally worth it. JNU has been consistently ranked as the second-best university in India by NIRF. It offers such a great environment for research, and being a central university it is also quite affordable. In the end, it all depends on your aims and objectives. If you really want to go for a Masters degree then JNU is undoubtedly the best.

Students and alumni report that if you are in the top 10 colleges of Delhi University, then the Bachelors programme is great. There is a lot of exposure in terms of meeting people and the extra curricular activities are amazing. It does promote a certain feeling of lethargy though if you are lazy because it expects you to push yourself especially at higher levels of study.The BA courses at DU are of much higher standards in most respects (mostly because JNU barely offers any BA courses). That being said, DU has draconian rules and lifestyle. In the end, one should choose a university that they can make the most out of.

How are the placements for Engineering at JNU?

As per our research, JNU Placements are average. A good package depends on your skillset and the campus-visiting companies. A very few good companies visit JNU and you need to be good at your subjects to get a job. The JNU administration is putting out funds for placement improvement. But currently, placements are very less here. Not even 50% of the total students got placed. This is because some didn't have the required knowledge and partially because not many companies visited.

What are placements like for MA Economics graduates from JNU?

Both the centres for economics in JNU- CITD{SIS} & CESP{SSS} have their own placement cells. Usually both these placement cells work together and invite companies over for hiring. Companies like PwC, HSBC, Dunnhumby, Infosys, EXL, Nomura and many more visit the campus for hiring. Bachelor of Language at JNU

The course structure and way teaching is superb.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The tution fee for the BA Hons course is 268 rupees. And then there is Hostel fee around 1160 per semester and monthly mess fee that costs around 3400-3800 rupees per month. The tution is exempted for PH students. There are scholarships, they call it MCM- 2000 per month for the students whose family income is less than 150000 and 5000 for PH students .

Jnu is like a myth u understand better when u come in jnu

Likes

Geo News not about the BTech courses it's more about the language and other courses you interested in UPSC this is heaven
Most of the guys in the bachelors or any courses in the genuine preferred to do a masters over the job

Dislikes

The BTech guys which are giving the most fees among the all courses are still in the dormitory and the most of the domalies are like too much bad quality
The facilities in Jnu is not that much good for all the technical branches and the theme of the colleges is not suitable for the technical courses

The fees is like nits only for btech but for other courses in jnu fee is 500rs yearly at max , and apart from that the BTech guys apart from giving the most fees there is to living in a geometry not having the hostel and the facilities in the BTech department is not that much good the computers are not working well the ECE branch is not having lab only the hostel fees is quitelu for all the guys living in a JNU like around 2000 rupees your day and mess fees is around 3000rs.

The best campus

Fees and Financial Aid:

We have 268 rupees fee for first semester and from 2nd semester it's 108 rupees. From last 15 years fee doesn't hiked. No other extra charges are there apart from these fee. MCM is provided to weaker economic section Student whose grade is above 4 out of 9. The amount is 2000 per month.

Our fees is 265 rs for 1 year it's same for all categories..MCM is provided to poora students which is monthly around 2k rs and there was no registration we paid as such while getting admission but after every sem you have to pay 1110 rs in hostel which are registration/ establishment charge.

The year wise tuition fees is ?268.one time registration fees of ?1000. The developmental fees for students is ?1000.?6for medical fees per annum and ?9 for booklet at the time of registration. Jnu provide us hostel , library, mess and reading area for the students and the fees for the students is very low compare to other universities. And the campus is awasome. University gives us though of different types of ideology and political ideologies also .there are so many people that are politically very active nd fought for the students welfare. And the university provides us the scholarship of 2000 every month for every student

as JNU is a central sponsored college so here we have only nimonal fee which is around 376 which includes multiple components like tution ,sports ,ncc ,medical , library etc and also the fees varies from catgory to category which are like obc,sc,st,pwd etc . we also need to pay semester fee as well which is 1000 per semester . if we talk about complete fees per year it would be around 2400 to 2500 approx. the goverment also provide a scholarship i.e. merit cum means scholarship, to students who's family income is less than 250000 per year and the availing students will get an amount of 2000 per month in their respective account , and the process for applying scholarship can be done in campus only by our respective departments

Yes, you are eligible to apply for admission in the MA History program of JNU if you have completed your B.Tech degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate. Admission is based on the merit of CUET PG. You must register and take this examination with History as your domain subject.
