JNU BA Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who wish to seek admission for B.A. (Hons) program offered at JNU shall have passed the minimum eligibility criteria as mentioned below:
- A minimum of 45% aggregate marks in Senior School Certificate / SSC / 10+2 or equivalent.
- Those who will be appearing for their qualifying examination in the year of admission are also eligible to apply.
- A minimum of 45% aggregate marks in Certificate of Allimiah issued by the institutes prescribed by the university to the condition that they have passed English language at the level of SSC from a recognised Board/University.
JNU BA Admission Guidelines
Candidates seeking admission to BA at JNU must clear the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG) conducted by NTA. Admission shall be granted on the basis of performance in the CUET PG exam. No Viva-Voce will be held by the university this year. The final selection will be based on the merit list released by the university.
The entrance test for this BA is a common test for all languages. Candidates seeking admission to B.A. (Hons.) in JNU have to appear for CUET (UG). They are required to opt for Section IA – English Test and Section III – General Test for admission in JNU. Candidates who will not appear in both the Sections, i.e. Section IA (English Test) and Section III (General Test), will not be considered for admission in JNU.

JNU BA Application Process
JNU BA application process is completely online. Candidates are required to apply for CUET UG exam conducted by NTA on the official website. The application process for JNU BA (Hons.) is mentioned below:
- Candidates must first visit the official CUET website at exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG.
- Upon opening the website candidates will find the ‘Register’ tab, they must click on it.
- After reading and understanding the information provided, candidates must hit the ‘Proceed’ button.
- After this, candidates will be directed to the application form. Candidates must fill in the required details carefully.
- After filling the necessary details candidates will have to upload important documents such as signature, photograph, marksheet, etc. Candidates must upload all the required documents.
- Candidates need to pay the application fee at the time of submitting the form or else the Online Application Form will not be considered.
- After submitting the fee, candidates print out the form and save a hard copy for future references.
- Candidates can login to their portals for any new updates, college cutoffs and so forth.

JNU BA Scholarship
The university offers financial assistance to deserving and meritorious students whose parents’/guardian income is less than INR 2.5 Lakhs per annum.
Additionally, Students belonging to Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribe/ Backward Tribe are awarded an amount of INR 1000 per month for a year under G Parthasarathi Endowment Fellowship.
