Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is very good. They cover very slow in start and later 3 chapters per week which is not a big deal. The syllabus and other optionals are also well designed. Every month's we've sessional or some exams.

Internships Opportunities

5

The internship provided by some of the parties inside the campus and also the centre itself but it is not the major source of internship. The major source of internship is the illumina in network of the university and the seniors with provided on the basis of contact and the good relationship. I walked with dirty international project which in collaborate with IIT Delhi.

Fees and Financial Aid

We have 268 rupees fee for first semester and from 2nd semester it's 108 rupees. From last 15 years fee doesn't hiked. No other extra charges are there apart from these fee. MCM is provided to weaker economic section Student whose grade is above 4 out of 9. The amount is 2000 per month.

Campus Life

5

The annual festival in my centre is the new year of China that is called "chun jie". Several public talks and other festival are also organised in the university by different centre in which you can go and enjoy. Annual sports meets like for school of language it is Kalol JNU Olympics and other sports activities also held. Biggest library in the JNU which contain 9th floor having full of books so you can enjoy that all with your approval of library card which is given by the University itself. Classroom is attached with projector and white board and screen also some of the class which give great facility to teaching

Hostel Facilities

5

In our hostel room some of the hostel room is very small and some of the hostel room is good. We have provided two bed, two table, and light and fan in the room. We have three times meal in a day and the meal is very good everyday morning egg bread and milk or tea is given additional to other breakfast. The dormitory will allotted at the time of admission but the hostel will get after a semester or two semester. Nearest locality for PC is Munirka Vasant Kunj Vasant vihar Hauz khas RK Puram etc

Admission

I chose this college over other because of very less fee that's some of 200 rs approx and this university having nirf 2 which also make a great change from others. Admission process is first you've to clear cuet then apply for councelling on jnu portal then check result, if you clear the cutoff that you will get the admission letter and the date of admission and on that day you come with the given document in the list and you will get the admission.

Faculty

5

1 faculty teaches around 40 students batch but never ever I've seen all the students attending class together. So it reduced to 1:25. In Chinese centre, I like Usha chandran ma'am the most because of her teaching style and individual learning. Hemant adlakha and Mr. B.R. deepak are also the best faculty in my centre. 3 sessionals and 1 end sem exams are there. Chinese is tough language so, 40% student got fail in end sem in 1st year.

Night Life

5

All the hostel contains a gym reading room and some of the hostel also have canteens inside them. In our campus we have multiple restaurant or dhaba some of the dhaba open during day time and some of the dhaba open during the night time for day time it is Sabarmati dhaba 24 into 7 and others for night time it is Ganga dhaba and mamu dhaba. There are many places inside the campus which you can hangout with your friends like PSR, Sanjay van, etc

There were placement Cell initially in JNU that conduct placement but due to most people don't sit for that while persue higher studies that's why it works very slow, they tries to make placed all those students with higher CGPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

British classics, Indian writing, postcolonial literature builds a strong foundation in literary analysis, critical thinking, and interpretation, which are useful skills. As for comprehensiveness, the curriculum is quite broad. It covers multiple literary periods, genres, and critical theories over the three years, so you’re not really missing out on the essentials. In that sense, it feels academically complete. But sometimes, it leans more towards breadth over depth you move quickly from one topic to another.

There's a placement cell and placement drives do happen in college but genuinely the package offered is not really considerable. After the 4th semester students are considered to sit in the placement drives though I would say it is not very efficient and fruitful.

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

The curriculum was overall good and being a economics honours courses it was challenging at times. The course offers many things for students interms of their further academic pursuits or any placement they are looking for. Talking about the areas of improvement and teaching methods there are none. The exams of the respective subject are to happen. They take test 1 , test 2 and there is final exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.
