It was an entrance examination followed by viva in which the cut off was 89 out of 100 the questions were from related subject and research methodology. When I applied for my master's in pol sc from JNU, it was NTA who was the conducting authority. There were 100 questions from core political science for the course POLM, in which the cut-off was around 75 for general. Mention, the entrance is one of the toughest as the number of aspirants is quite high. However, there was no negative marking back then. One should score at least 55% in their bachelor's to be eligible. All the information regarding the entrance exam, be it the application form, application fees, and application dates is easily available on NTA official website. Reservation at the entrance gets applied as per the UGC guidelines, but to highlight, JNU also offers additional deprivation points to girls and persons from marginal backgrounds.
