The course curriculum of SAU is very unique and permeable. The exposure of the course is very much as the students from other countries are also there. As the subject biotech is itself very extreme and vast and has regular labs it may leave you with a hectic day.
The M.Sc. Biotechnology of SAU is unique as the students from other countries also get admission here. Biotech is a very vast subject as ending up to a hectic day is quite common but you can easily manage your time other than studies also.
The course of MSC is of the total duration of 2 years program having 4 semesters. The course provides us a complete set of knowledge from initial to research oriented. There is a complete focus on initialization of research works from here. Semester exams are conducted in May/December.
I will speak for the department of social sciences as I am a student there. After JNU, I would say there is no other place to pursue IR than SAU. The curriculum remains up to date and teachers for IR are all JNU PHDs or Foreign PHDs. They pay good salaries to teachers and hence retain the best.
The total credits for all the four semesters in 80. We had five subjects in the 1st and 2nd semester which included two electives each. The third semester has a project of 4 credits, one compulsory subject and two electives. The last semester has two electives and a dissertation of 12 whole credits. There are 22 electives we can choose from.
The 2 years are divided into 4 semesters. The first two semesters have 4 subjects each including a mathematical subject. The third semester has 1 compulsory subject, 2 optional subjects and a dissertation. The last semester has 3 optional subjects and a dissertation. The dissertation is purely research based and holds a lot of credit.
I think its a very opportunistic course for young lads who want to learn data analysis and optimisation field. Getting in this course is not that tough you have to give a entrance exam which is compromised of computer science and mathematics and statistics. The exams are labs are an integral part of the curriculum.
MSc biotechnology is a professional course which has the duration of 2 years and follows semester system. The course structure is kept in view of the demand of the growing sector. The labs are also full fledged. The days are tiring and exams are also hectic.
