Eligibility Criteria

Only those candidates shall be considered for admission to the Ph.D. programme who have –

Master’s Degree in Law, Political Science, Public Administration, Economics, Sociology, History, Philosophy, Social Work, Development Studies and cognate areas/ disciplines in the social sciences or humanities with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed or an equivalent degree from a foreign educational Institution.

M. Phil. Degree in Law, Political Science, Public Administration, Economics, Sociology, History, Philosophy, Social Work, Development Studies and cognate areas/ disciplines in the social sciences or humanities with at least 55% marks from any Indian University recognized by the University Grants Commission or from a Foreign Educational Institution.

A candidate seeking admission after a 4-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree programme in Law, Political Science, Public Administration, Economics, Sociology, History, Philosophy, Social Work, Development Studies and cognate areas/ disciplines in the social sciences or humanities should have a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade on a point scale wherever the grading system is followed.

For Ph.D Foreign Nationals:

(i) Tuition Fee:

@ US $2097 per semester for courses in science disciplines;
@ US $1398 per semester for courses in humanities and social sciences;
(ii) Incidental charges: @ US $ 279 per semester will be charged from both the above categories
