What is it like to study at JNU Delhi?

As per students and alumni, studying at JNU can be liberating and scary at the same time. If you've been in the Indian education system all your life, you're probably used to being spoon-fed and not having any room for your own thinking. Once in JNU, this completely changes. Nobody is here to tell you what to study, how to study, when to study. There's no minimum attendance requirement so no pressure on that front. There's loads of work pressure in the form of homework, assignments, presentations, etc at the BA/MA level, yet your time is your own so you have to decide when to work and draw your own lines. At the MPhil/PhD level, there's an exciting research atmosphere, and you can really feel that you're among people who are here to do genuine research. But again, you have to draw the lines and make sure you don't lose focus. Campus life is also so liberating that the above is a bigger challenge than it might seem. Women feel safer on campus than anywhere else in the country, so there is freer interaction across gender boundaries. There's also a late night culture, which means you can be up till 3 in the morning and still run into lots of people at the dhabas. There are movie screenings, political activities such as protests and hunger strikes, you can hear some of the greatest minds in the country give public lectures. If you're receptive to it, JNU will change your life, expand your horizons, and challenge your comfortable ways of thinking. You're treated like an adult so you have to learn to be one quickly.

Is it worth taking admission to JNU for Masters?

As per our research, if you want to pursue MA in one of the streams offered at JNU, then its totally worth it. JNU has been consistently ranked as the second-best university in India by NIRF. It offers such a great environment for research, and being a central university it is also quite affordable. In the end, it all depends on your aims and objectives. If you really want to go for a Masters degree then JNU is undoubtedly the best.

That being said, DU has draconian rules and lifestyle. In the end, one should choose a university that they can make the most out of.

How are the placements for Engineering at JNU?

As per our research, JNU Placements are average. A good package depends on your skillset and the campus-visiting companies. A very few good companies visit JNU and you need to be good at your subjects to get a job. The JNU administration is putting out funds for placement improvement. But currently, placements are very less here. Not even 50% of the total students got placed. This is because some didn't have the required knowledge and partially because not many companies visited.

What are placements like for MA Economics graduates from JNU?

Both the centres for economics in JNU- CITD{SIS} & CESP{SSS} have their own placement cells. Usually both these placement cells work together and invite companies over for hiring. My Life In India's top University, JNU.

Fees and Financial Aid:

Tuition fees are very low and government takes care of everything. There's no fees hikes in jnu because if it does then the protest against it also happened. 648 for tuition fees per annum, hostel fees 2400 per annum, mess bill 2000-4000 per annum only. In every department there's is some scholarships, in korean department there's is many scholarships like POSCO, GKS etc. Jnu also provides MCM to those students whose parents are not in government jobs and belongs to middle class poor family, whose income is less. They provide 2000 per month.

One the best university for Foreign language

There is a very minimum amount of fee in in all the courses in the campus and there and many scholarships in our campus like a posco LG scholarships and many more scholarships which provide a maximum amount of money today's student for the higher studies and in the undergraduate in the master degree 2

Life in JNU

As most of the students are aware of the fact that JNU has almost nothing (?109 only /semester) on the name of tution fee. Language is a market oriented course and after doing bachelor or master you have the option (provide your language is good enough) to work with Korean company working in India or vice Versa. There are some scholership as well.

As we already know JNU is a central university, so undoubtedly fees will be low compared to other universities. My own course charge is 108 rupees per semester. If your income is lower than 2.5 lakh per year, you will get a financial help of 2000 per month.

Why should I join JNU?

After several protests against the Fee hike movement in 2019, we could afford to study at such prestigious university at a very low fee like ? 109 tuition fee per semester. Fee structure of college is affordable for poorest also

The course fee per semester is below 200 which is affordable for anyone. MCM scholarship (2000 per month)is also awarded to students on the basis of income. Others scholarship of respective language of that country is also available. POSCO, AKS , GKS , KF these are some scholarship for Korean language students by Korean government.

My campus life

Scholarships come at every level . After graduation, after masters and also after PhD. Also there are various types of scholarships. They differ based on their period , education timeline, fully funded or partially funded etc . Also the university provides MCM to students who need it. Talks and counseling are organised monthly .

Sharing my precious memories

In JNU education seems to be almost free , We pay 250 rs per semester as tuition fee and 1500 for registration and other documentation. Getting such kind of education at such a low price is a golden opportunity , and there's monthly aid scholarship of 2000 rs for student below a certain annual income. And every center offers different kind of scholarships for there students .
