My course is one of the flagship courses offered by a few colleges only. It requires a lot of mathematics and logical abilities to study it. I was influenced due to increasing market popularity and my interest in mathematics. The curriculum of the course in well defined and the professors follow the curriculum and sometimes they modify it to make it more easier for students to study. Although the curriculum is good but I think some more practical aspects can be added to meet the market standards. The examinations take place according to the university time table every semester (two times a year). The exams are made according to the syllabus and normally they're not very hard if you study.

The course that I opted was not that relevant in terms of real life experience. But courses like physics hons biology zoology and economics hons are great and provide you enough knowledge to get a solid stand in real life experience

The course I study is life scienses which is a program course and includes 3 subjects - botany, zoology, chemistry... I chose this subject Because of the options it will provide me once I graduate... There will be many fields open for me as compared to any zoology or botayn hos student The main application for this course is I thing is - it will prepare u well for any govt exam and govt exam ask more than 1 subject... Also the research option is always open for you... Doing masters in various fields is an option too... If you aren't sure after 12th science which subject u should go with.. Life sciences is perfect as it allows u to study those subjects for another 3 year and then decide for yourself I guess the only improvement it needs is the allow us some spare time... The subject we get are very heavy and tough for any undergraduate student.. And studing all 3 at the same time with a hectic timetable becomes difficult for us The exam levels are neutral.

The course is designed in such a way that a student can get the all information related to the subject in the entire course. Our course is designed in a very good way that i have learnt about the aspect and richness of the subject plant sciences. Our firts yera focusses on basics of botany or lower botany in whic we have learnt about various plants , their families , their internal and external organistaion, and other thing. In our 2nd year we have mainly focussses on genetics and inheritance part. In our 3rd year we learnt about advanced plant sciense like crop improvement , biotechnolgy and tools and techniques. As far as we talk about exams and assesments, we were given assignemnets and class tests and exams. We also have hands on experience on some techniques. Overall the course is designed in its best way.

There are some positive and some negative aspects of this course. The things which drove to take this course is the uniqueness and my interest in the subject. The negative aspect is the less career opportunities in comparison to other courses.

Course curriculum is good . It's reduced but that's not appreciated because it'll effect our future studies if we will not study and leave some part. Still teachers are teaching complete curriculum. It's related to future studies and competitive exams.

I chose this course because I was interested in this since class 12th. The curriculum prepares us for the outside world by giving multiple opportunities. According to me the areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods could be 1. The teachers must use chalk board method more than just presenting the ppts. 2. The number of projectors in theory classes must be increased. 3. The syllabus should be more practical oriented. 4. The materials in the labs must be checked and renewed from time to time. The exams are held semester wise and only the exams take more than a month that must be reduced. The difficulty level is normal most of the times though it will be better if the timing gets increased.
