The college and govt provides various scolarships in support of the students like inspire scholarahip for she, the college provied financial assistance to ews students.
The faculty is also super talented and have a great knowledge.
Our annual fest tempest was one of the best times of my life with dj nights, neeti mohan, several stalls and the freedom of being in a gender minority college just made everything a million times better.
Dislikes
However, speaking for the political science faculty, although they are qualified, they are highly detached from the students.
Faculty somehow as it was sometimes not that good as we thought.
Apart from a few professors, the others methods of teaching are severely outdated and biased.
These insights are automatically extracted from student reviews
Faculty somehow as it was sometimes not that good as we thought.
Placement Experience:
Not yet got any information about placement related to my subject but got to hear that the college gives the best placement ranging from 1.5 lakh to 3.5 lakh per year which is quite good and can be considered.
Infrastructure of the college, walls, building, garden, canteen, library.
Crowd of Miranda House. Faculty is very enriching and students are very inspiring. The crowd is empowering in itself.
Societies of the college. Placement cells, Enactus, Debating Society, Photography Society, Art Society, Dance Society, NSS are few of the best ones.
Dislikes
Placement is not provided in all the courses. However there is Placement cell conducting placements separately.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The faculty of Political Science is best here in Miranda House. The classes are generally divided into sections to maintain good faculty: student ratio.
This course provides you with a holistic understanding of political science and its sub-discipline. DU is the only university in India providing International Relations at the undergraduate level. This course would make one able to pursue a future in Civil services, academia, and other fields that require a better understanding of Polity.
The faculty in miranda house doesn't take teaching lightly. Faculty is rich in knowledge, the best of DU, and dedicated. They provide the best services and expect the same from students.
There are a total of 6 semesters in this course which makes for 6-semester exams the interval of 5 months and assignments and term papers in between the semester for mid-semester assessment.
My experience at Delhi University is overall good. There is a lot of diversity here. The crowd here consists of people catering to different ideologies, way of living and dialects. I have got a few good friends and the professors here are phenomenal.
All these aspects keep me loving Miranda again and again.
Dislikes
One thing that I disliked about Miranda was the irregularality in the deliverance of the financial assistance.
Placement Experience:
From 2nd year, students often start looking for placements. For my course, the placement ranges from 5lac to 7lac. However for economics Hons., it may go above 16 lac. The companies who visited the college this year are- Zee Media, EdLighten, NTT Data, etc.
I love my college. Moreover, i love how competitive the environment is and it helps one to grow and develop.
The societies and clubs here are excellant and encourages you to learn new skills.
I love my campus life and how happening it is.
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for campus placements in their last semester.
The highest package offered here is 20 lakh per annum.
Our college is more into academics and promotes higher education.
I plan to pursue higher studies after my degree.
Provide a lot of opportunities to develop our skills
Du fest was too amazing and I really like it
Dislikes
Because of to much crowd students are distracted of our goals
Teacher's didn't focus on every single student
I think du placement rate is too low in camparision other
Placement Experience:
3/4 year students are eligible for campus placement names of companies who visited in college - tata motors, Microsoft and so many others. The highest package was gone 1200000 to 500000.
10 percentage of students get placement.
Great Teachers, Innovative Teaching Methods, Interactive opportunities
We’ll- informed, highly skilled peers, an encouraging workspace to keep learning
A varied set of Societies and Clubs, Multiple events and opportunities easily availed
Dislikes
Lack of placement opportunities for Arts students
A Highly Eurocentric curriculum, lack of diversity in paper selection
Poor Hostel facilities, Campus Infrastructure isn’t oriented towards the Differently Abled
Placement Experience:
The Placement Cell at MH is quite active and secured great packages for applicants with the skillset, eligible from Semester 5. most packages and offers received are geared towards Economics or Science students (MH does not have a Commerce Department). I plan on continuing my studies in academia.
The most important factor is that the faculty members
Colleges and number of cultural societies which every student can be a part of their clubs
The infrastructure of the college specially it's a greenery and voice and the aesthetic of the college is very much pretty
Dislikes
One thing I disliked was the time table of the classes was not fixed
Secondly the college does not provide a competition facilities to all the students
The college does not have ACs in the classrooms
Course Curriculum Overview:
I opted for this course because it offers two disciplines to study together. Also, it is very helpful if one is preparing for competitive exams like UPSC and so on. Being the first rank college in India and faculty members of the college are just amazing and are masters in their field. The eighth semester has an internal assessment followed by a semester examination which is not very easy, unlike other colleges for BA.
I was interested in the subject from my high school and thus decided to pursue the same for my graduation. Miranda House offers excellent faculty services. Professors are extremely helpful and approachable. Almost all the senior faculty have Ph.D. degrees.
After 3 years one becomes eligible one has to apply for placement well there is a very low amount of people who apply as most people come to Du with the dream of civil services placement is provided to people who have at least done more than 2 internship and have performed well
Campus placements are good!
It ranges from course to course too. In some courses, the ratio of placements is great, while in others, it isn't.
However, in most of the professional courses, the placements offered are decent. Individual skills, too play a great role to shape the same.
