Q: How can Miranda House be the best college and not Hans Raj Hindu LSR SRCC or St Stephens in the recent rankings?

Colleges like Hansraj, Hindu, LSR, SRCC are not better than the Miranda House in terms of rankings because they have not participated in any rankings. It is so because the NAAC ratings of these colleges are very poor when compared to Miranda House. Talking about SRCC, it's one of the best colleges in all aspects including administration, infrastructure, fests, academics but it lacks in finding the best performers for the all-rounder field. The college has two specialized courses - B.Com. (Hons.) and B.A.(Hons.) Economics, and is the best when it comes to bringing the sponsors or for the best courses. The most underrated among these is the Miranda House and is best in the aura and environment and offers many courses, faculty, infrastructure, facilities have diverse cultures, talents, and is one of the oldest institutes. Its best department is liberal arts. It deserves to be at the top and is therefore at the top.

#2 out of 300 colleges under “Overall College Category”

Miranda House is known for promoting quality education for women and was established in New Delhi in 1948. The college is affiliated with DU and it offers a wide variety of courses in the fields of Arts and Science. Miranda House has consistently achieved exceptional rankings over the last few years. In addition, it has consistently climbed in most of the ranking agency scores. It was ranked as the #1 this year by NIRF in the college category ranking and kept up the same for the last Seven years. College's safe and supportive environment makes it more easy to survive in college.
The faculty of college specially of my course is top notch.
Infrastructure and aesthetics of college makes it more beautiful

Dislikes

Lack of space in college which makes it difficult in fest season
Relevance and updation of course . Specially in literature
Placement cells are active but do not offer internships to all courses students

Internships Opportunities:

Our college mostly gives internships to courses like economic honours and beled . Companies offers stipend of 6k to 20k depending upon the tasks . Projects like marketing and analytics offered by them .

Maranda house is an only girl's college so it's very good in terms of safety and the vibes around the campus. As it's a all girl's college, a professors are all so good and they are very motivating as well
There are so many college societies and clubs. Available and the events that they are conducting are very informative and amazing as well. There are internship opportunities as well. End networking opportunity as well conducted by many college clubs

There are opportunities available, such as under the principal.Other than that, there are internships opportunities provided by most of the college clubs out there and as the college is one of the number one college in india.We do get a lot of Internship opportunities

I am not qualified enough to answer this question but our placement cell does give opportunities for internships for companies such as NAMO political consulting and others. At other times one has to look for internships themselves.

Miranda through my eyes

Likes

The campus life is very lively, including the events, societies, clubs, people.

Dislikes

The senior faculty has a lot of knowledge but however, they sometimes may feel intimidating.
The admin office experience, however thats bad at every college and institution.

Internships Opportunities:

Worked under DUbuddy (currentlyn working too) With 3k monthly stipend as Subject Matter Expert for Geography. Other than this, the college, especially the societies keep providing various paid and unpaid internship opportunities.

The college is very inclusive and diverse
There are a lot of workshops and activities conducted regarding future career opportunities
The college campus is full of greenery and that makes it really nice

Dislikes

The faculty at times is very strict and can also be a little harsh
The curriculum definitely needs some changes as it is not updated
Infrastructure wise , the quality cam be improved

There are many companies whuch offer internships in our college. A lot of opportunities are provided in the college campus which leads to a lot of options to choose from and also keads to oyr character development.

A walkthrough of life at Miranda <3

Likes

Being in all girls is actually quite nice for me, i came from an all girls school so i find myself very comfortable. People are nice and friendly, the seniors are great too.
Classes happen as per schedule. As we have heard, du colleges are known for cancelling classes and professors not turning up but as for us, we mostly do all classes every week and on time.
The cultural fests and co-curriculars are very active. Something is happening every day which keeps campus life vibrant.

Dislikes

We have tests whenever the teacher wants to take them and millions of assignments. It would’ve been just better to hold mid-terms and have exams together instead of this confusing and unproductive grading system
Aec sec vac should not be as pressurising as they are because they in turn dilute the focus on core and GE
We do not have saturdays off and neither do we get restricted holidays. The college is ALWAYS OPEN AND classes don’t get cancelled even during big events even when the entire class doesn’t show up

Internships Opportunities:

I have no idea as its my first semester so i have neither applied nor i got much opportunities but im sure, being the top college of the country, There are probably good opportunities The name of a mirandian itself is a badge of honour.

Faculty is supportive and teaches concepts clearly

Miranda House Through My Lens

Likes

Great Infrastructure. Beautiful Campus. Lovely vibes. Clean washrooms. Air conditioners in a lot of classrooms
Tons of academic seminars being conducted. Workshops and conferences. Vibrant Campus Life. Opportunities to learn outside classroom.
So many societies and events happening. Not boring at all. Lots of extracurricular. Diversity in crowd.

Dislikes

Due to the time span of seminar, less time to cover syllabus.
So many students in one classroom. Learning can be a bit difficult.
Students have to figure out everything themselves. As in teachers won't guide you very very personally.
