- Miranda House has released the admission schedule for physical verification of documents for the first-year Under-Graduate students admitted in the year 2024-25. The admission process will begin from Oct 14, 2024 till Dec 13, 2024. To get detailed information on the same, check here.
Miranda House Admission 2024 is ongoing. Miranda House conducts admission to all UG and PG courses through Delhi University’s Common Seat Allocation System (DU CSAS) portal. Admission to all the UG courses such as BA (Hons) English, B.Sc (Hons) Chemistry, BA (Hons) Sociology, BA (Hons) Philosophy, etc. is offered based on CUET UG scores. Miranda House accepts CUET PG scores for MA and M.Sc admissions.
The CUET UG exams are conducted in the month of March and the CUET PG is conducted in the month of May/June every year. The results are generally released within a month of the exam. After this, for admission to Miranda House, candidates have to register themselves in the DU CSAS registration process and choose Miranda House and available courses as their preference. Based on the preferences & reservation criteria, Delhi University releases the seat allotment results in multiple rounds. The Miranda House admission cut-off for BA (Hons) Sociology and BA (Hons) Economics ranges between 750 and 785 marks for general category students. In addition to category-wise seat reservation, Delhi University has introduced a reservation of one seat in every course to single girl child students as well.
Once candidates get allocated Miranda House with their chosen course, they must accept and lock their options to get a seat at the college. Miranda House UG Admission 2024
Miranda House offers UG courses such as BA, BA Hons, B.El.Ed, BSc (Hons) in various specializations. These UG courses are available in the stream of humanities, education as well as science. The duration of all the UG courses is 3 years. Candidates applying to these courses must have qualified in the 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board with a minimum of 45% marks in the relevant stream. Miranda House PG Admission 2024
Miranda House offers MA & M.Sc programs in multiple specializations at the PG level. All the candidates must have a graduate degree in the relevant stream from a recognized university to become eligible for the PG courses. The selection of the candidates is carried out based on CUET PG scores mandatorily as no merit-based admissions are offered for PG courses. Miranda House Admission Process 2024
Step 1: Register for the Entrance Examination
Miranda House admissions to all UG & PG courses are based on scores obtained in the entrance examination. To apply for admission, candidates must register for the following entrance examinations:

- Candidates applying for CUET UG must select Delhi University while filling the application form and choose subjects in which he/she is appearing/has passed class 12 or equivalent
- In case the subject studied in class 12th is not mentioned in the CUET UG application form, the candidate must appear in the Language/Domain Specific subject that is similar/closely related to the subject he/she has studied in class 12 (for example, if you have studied Biochemistry in class 12, then you must appear in Biology in the CUET UG.
To successfully submit the CUET application, candidates require various documents such as -
- A scanned copy of the recent passport-sized photograph
- Scanned copy of your signature (black ink)
- Photo ID proof issued by the government (Aadhar card, PAN card, Voter ID, Passport, etc.)
- Marksheets of all qualifying exams
- Category certificate (if applicable)
- Banking details for application fee payment
Step 2: Appear for the Entrance Exam
Candidates who filled out the application form must appear for the entrance examination as per the schedule. The timeline of when entrance exams are usually conducted in a year is given below:

Step 3: Registration on DU CSAS Portal and Filling of Courses and College Preferences
Candidates who qualify in the entrance examination must register on the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) Portal of Delhi University for Miranda House seat allotment. Once the registration is done, candidates will be asked to fill in their college and course preferences. Registration portals for admission to various courses along with the registration fee of Delhi University are as follows:

- Candidates who want to apply for the Sports supernumerary quota must pay an additional application fee of INR 100.
- Candidates applying for courses like BFA, B.P.Ed, M.P.Ed, M.A. Music, MFA, and others have to pay INR 400 additionally along with the common application fee.

Step 4: Seat Allocation
The seat allocation for all courses will be done in multiple rounds. Delhi University is going to release the merit lists in two categories: Common Merit List and Category 2 Merit List (for PG courses only). The Common Merit List (CML) is open to all candidates. However, for the Category 2 Merit List (C2ML), only students who have graduated from Delhi University will be considered for admission to PG programs. The Highest Possible Preference will be provisionally allocated to a candidate who meets the Miranda House admission criteria such as:
- Combination of selected college and course
- Rank secured in the entrance exam
- Availability of seats
- Category of candidates
Step 5: Blocking of Seats and Final Admission
Upon declaration of merit list, candidates can check the list by logging in to their CSAS dashboard for acceptance of the allocated seat, if offered. Once a seat has been allocated at Miranda House in a particular round, the candidate must 'Accept' the allocated seat before the last date/time in a given time period.
- Once the candidate "Accept" the provisionally allocated seat, the administration of Miranda House will approve the seat allotment by checking the eligibility and documents uploaded by the candidate.
- Upon approval of the seat allotment by the college, candidates will have to pay the Miranda House admission fee to confirm their seat.

Ques. Can I get direct admission at Miranda House?
Ans. Miranda House offers admission to the UG and PG courses on the basis of performance in the entrance exam. So, no. You cannot get direct admission at Miranda House. CUET UG exam is accepted by the college for admission to BA, B.Sc, and B.El.Ed courses. For admission to PG courses, CUET PG is accepted by the college. Earlier, admission to 50% PG seats was offered on the basis of merit in the last qualifying exam but from 2024, the admission process is entirely entrance-based.
Ques. What is the Miranda House admission last date?
Ans. The last date for admission at Miranda House solely depends on the seat allotment rounds by Delhi University and the number of seats remain vacant after every round of counseling. But, the new academic session of Miranda House generally started in mid-July, every year.

My first option was Miranda House only, and I got in there in the very first allotment itself. Why chose it be first on my allotment list was its ranking. Miranda ranked among the first position in science for the past few years prior to my admission. And the alumni cell and their acheivements attracted me even more. And I would always be proud of choosing that college
Likes
- Being a women's college, it provides safe environment for the young monds to grow. The safety and security is paramount. The cleanliness and maintenance of the campus is appreciable.
- The faculty is most supportive to students is whatever field they want to pursue. They are guide and career counselor as a whole. The classroom doesn't feel like burden, rather it is something we enjoy every moment with our professors.
Dislikes
- To be honest there are nothing to be disliked about this college.
- The administrative department can be made a bit more fast track.
Admission:
I applied for Economics Hons in LSR, DU where i cleared the cutoff but the document verification was extremely strict. They would not allow any sort of mistake or leniency due to which i couldn't get in. Even though i cleared the cutoff couldn't get in. In my second cut-off, i applied for the same course in Hansraj and then in Miranda house. The later was linient in document verification, they listened to the problems that a faced during the certificate collection from my home town since it was an offline mode. They provided me with time after taking understanding for the same and then i was enrolled in as a provisional admission. I provided the documents and git in. As in Hansraj, it is a co- ed college so i didn't choose it. Also the faulty is better in Miranda house as per the reviews of ex-students.

- The infrastructure of the college is top notch. The red walls have a legacy and the campus is awesome and this is the reason why it has been ranked 1 for 7 years .
- Another interesting thing is that we have to ask professor to cancel the class as they take all the classes. Attendance is mandatory and professor are more regular than students. So it is a lot academic oriented.
Dislikes
- Only Ac's are not there in classes. Apart from that Nothing is there in Miranda to be disliked.
Admission:
I also applied for Banaras Hindu University and I did get Economics honours there but as the result was declared late there I chose Miranda and also I believe the personality development which is possible in Delhi is not in BHU .To get admission in Miranda cuet exam has to be given. It is required to score 700+/800 to get into Miranda and as I am from unreserved so the cut off is much high . I am from BA program ( economics+ history) and my cuet score was 757 . Also remember that every time cut off fluctuates . One can find application form ,fees and dates on cuet samarth or nta's website. Every information is given on these sites .. This time we faced a lot of issues in the answer sheet and also normalised score decreased in most of the cases . So all those who are going to give cuet next year aim for highest marks... I want nta to work smoothly and should take more precautions next time.

This is nearby my house . Extracurricular activities done in the college. Also like the college environment. And Miranda is also a good and reputable college. I only applied for this college and get admission. Admission process is online . One who is 12 th pass out score good percentage can take admission. I don't have any other exams I got admission on my 12 percentage.

I applied for IITS but could not secure a rank and get into the college. I was eligible for du colleges but I chose Miranda House because first and foremost it is a girls college and also college is wordly renowed for its performance .For getting into my college first one have to clear CUET.12TH pass canditates can apply for it and for my course you have to apply for CUET and clear the exam .The cutoffs for the exams is pretty high for science courses the cutoffs are high and competitive. The CUET exam and the admission process is very tiring and boring. It needs a lot of patience and wait for the admission.

Miranda House stands at 1st all over India. The crowd is good the management the infrastructure everything is great and better than other colleges. The college also adds value and so much knowledge to the course and the faculty too.

- Canteen food and other basic facilities are also great

- As an NCWEB student we are not able to take advantage of facilities like library

So I applied for NCWEB BA PROGRAM. at first cut off I could only get into hans raj but I really wanted to go into Miranda so when I cleared 2nd cut off I chose to take admission here. I chose this college because I had this notion about it being best in north campus

My first preference was to get admission in miranda house college of Delhi University. It has been ranked 1 from past seven years in nirf rankings. I didn't get rejection from other colleges where I applied but my score was pretty good to get admission in college of my choice. I applied to other colleges like Hindu college, lady shree ram college, st stephen's college and many other colleges of Delhi University. The admission process in my college is based on the marks one scores in cuet exam conducted by national testing agency.
Likes
- To start with, I think the college's infrastructure is awesome, but occasionally, some people might get lost or confused about the room numbers. Overall though, the college's structure is fantastic.
- Second, I believe that our college should upgrade the sitting areas in the canteen because occasionally there are not enough seats for everyone and the canteen gets overcrowded.
Dislikes
- Not much, really, to be disliked, but I am a little let down by the way the seats and fans are arranged in the auditorium. It seems like they are meant to be there but aren't.
Admission:
When comparing my college to others, I observe a few things: 1. Infrastructure 2. Ranking 3. I favor this since my college is a women's college. 4. Teaching methods There are thus more points that are similar to these.
Likes
- the faculties are very informative and helpful
- the environment we get to study is vey nice
Dislikes
- sometime classes got cancelled and its a bad experience
- we don't get online classes if we don't come to college
Admission:
this was dream college because of the faculty, infrastructure, study material and this college provides practical knowledge. they provide many internships to their student while the other colleges are more likely towards their reputation. professor are accessible and actively involve to mentoring their students.
