Course Curriculum Overview:

my course is pretty decent in terms of learning and understanding the real life aspects. Bcom hons was pretty ranked course in delhi university, it is better course to do. My semester started on like 16th of August and the exams were held on 21 of December 2023 and next sem started on 18th of January and exams were on 22nd of May. The timing in between is pretty decent to learn the things but not for the accounts.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'm pursuing Bcom hons ,which is one of the highly competitive course of Delhi University. The cut off of this course is comparatively high than other courses. I'm very much into domain of HR and finance. But after exploring more about this course my interest towards the HR was increased . The curriculum of this course provides me the theory as well the practical knowledge of real World. As we all know we have New Education Policy (NEP) which provides various additional subjects apart from our core subjects like SEC , VAC , AEC . Having these additional subjects are reducing the time of core subjects.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum covers a strong foundation in core commerce subjects, like accounting, finance, economics, and corporate business management. One also learns about taxation, corporate laws and and e-commerce. The curriculum will definitely prepare one for a clear career path in areas like accounting, finance, or even marketing. However, there is not much flexibility for specific exploration of an area, the course curriculum is well decided in advance. A mix of traditional lectures, interactive sessions, groups, discussions, and presentations can cater to different learning styles as well. The difficulty level of exams is moderate to high with semester-wise conduction of exams, with some internal assessments conducted throughout the semester.

Life at IPCW

3.0Helpful

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is B. Com(H). I have a interest in commerce field and wanted to go ahead in the same field. The total course has 7 exams per semester. It comprises of accounting , management and law as the core subjects throughout which are compulsory. Along with the core subjects hindi and evs are taught alternatively in each semester. And there is one GEC subject, we have to choose which can later be converted as minor subject if the required conditions are fulfilled during the college. And then there are SEC and VAC subjects in which we can learn new skills which we have to choose from the list provided by the college The college exams in terms of internals are good and the teachers are quite cooperative through them. The faculty has some old age teachers which have a lot of experience but are a little sluggish. And some are quite young are good teachers and are quite understanding. The teaching style is moderate i would say its not too good nor too bad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because, from the very beginning, I was interested in the commerce field. The faculty-student ratio is 1 faculty for 50-60 students. The faculty is very good in my college very supportive, and helpful. understanding, and kind. teaching quality is beyond amazing with proper curriculum, internal assessment, and examination. Semester exams are of moderate level, regular studying comes in very handy it is conducted after every 6 months, passing percentage is commendable.

4.2Helpful

Course Curriculum Overview:

This is the highest-rated course in the commerce field and I give in-depth knowledge of every subject of Commerce. I choose this course because during high school I was a bit confused between accounting and finance, I used to think for of them are very similar. But after getting insight into both subjects I got to know the difference and could discover my actual interest. The faculty is very good, for each subject there are two teachers and the doubt classes are held regularly. We also have access to teachers' email and phone numbers, if we face any difficulty while understanding a topic we can call or message them anytime. So the teaching method is very flexible. We can also request extra classes if we can't understand any topic. Exams are held at the end of each semester and besides that internal tests and assessments are taken by the subject teacher to ensure a better understanding of the concept.

IP College: 2 Answered Questions

Which college is better for a BCom honours: Gargi college, Indraprastha College for women or Daulat Ram College?

Manisha ChakrabortyB.A. Philosophy, Daulat Ram College, Delhi University (2019)

Among these institutes, Daulat Ram Collge has a great Commerce faculty base. The professors are well-experienced and dedicated. They help students with their doubts even after college hours.

It is situated on the north campus. It is a fun place to be. There is always some event going on. Also, Daulat Ram has a great fest called Manjari.

Gargi College and Indraprastha College for Women are also good alternatives. If you clear the required cutoff for all these colleges, your preference order should be Daulat Ram>I.P>Gargi.

Which college is better for a B.Com (honours) Gargi college, Indraprastha College for women or Daulat Ram College?

Ahana Bhaduri
Shivani ChakrabortyB.A. Philosophy, Daulat Ram College, Delhi University (2019)

One of my friends studied Commerce at Daulat Ram and it had a fantastic faculty. Here are some things that she considered made it better than the other two.

  • The professors were dedicated and committed to their classes. They were highly experienced as well.
  • The college recently had many positive improvements making it one of the most trendiest colleges.
  • It is at the North Campus which was an advantage in itself.
  • Culturally, Daulat Ram College (DRC) encouraged students to take part in fests, societies, clubs and even go for inter-collegiate competitions.
  • Manjari is the most important college fest of DRC.

Indraprastha College is overall a beautiful college with very high education standards. But being a bit isolated from the North Campus, students tend to miss the city life.

Gargi more or less provides a similar atmosphere like DRC. Therefore, it is suggested that you opt for DRC or Gargi followed by Indraprastha College.
