In terms of placement, faculty and infrastructure which one is better for CSE: Kalyani Government Engineering College or Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College?

Seeing this, you must choose Civil Engineering at Jadavpur University over KGEC. Following are the reasons for choosing the same: The faculty at Jadavpur University is comparatively better than Kalyani Government College. They are well-experienced and most of the faculty members hold a doctorate degree. The student crowd at JU is helping and competitive. One of the main highlights is the students’ club in the university. You will receive good exposure. Although the placement scenario for the civil industry is deteriorating in the entire nation, it is still better to take it up at Jadavpur University than Kalyani for CSE. The mass recruiters are mainly limited to companies such as TCS, Infosys, etc. at Kalyani. Whereas in JU, you would be able to opt for financing and consultancy firms as well. No one cares much about students' well-being, especially the administration, which is not very helpful at times.Faculties are mediocre at best. They often lack knowledge and teach in a mechanical fashion.There is nepotism among the hostel students . Day scholars are often deprived of many opportunities, including placement opportunities .Campus doesn't look that good. If you have an expectation of magnificent buildings like the tier 1 and 2 colleges, then you will be underwhelmed .On campus placements are really mediocre. Most of the students are selected in mass recruiting IT companies. Good core companies or software companies rarely visit.

How is the faculty at KGEC Kalyani?

Students and alumni of KGEC Kalyani say that the faculty depends on which department or stream one is talking about. If you talk about the Computer Science department, it's no good as the faculties are as incompetent as an amateur swimmer. They lack proper expertise and knowledge to guide a potentially brilliant student and keep the interest-curve high. On the other hand, IT, Electrical and Electronics department is quite good, but talking about the best department in the college, it's mechanical. Students are made disciplined that they do not need any validation. The Head of the Department (HOD) of the Mechanical department is so hard-working that he is maintaining the morale and interest high in students, alone.

K.G.E.C the perfect allrounder

The scholarships available in our college are svmcm that can be available if u are having a yearly income under 2.5 lakhs and can be renewed if we have a cgpa above 7 and the other aids avaible are full freeship for students to not pay any tuition fees for their financial conditions.

The Overall fees structure including all tution fees and others is: CSE - 12000/yr (2 sem in per year) IT - 28000/yr ECE - 12000/yr EE & ME - 6000/yr And the students securing above 60% per year and having income lower than 250000/year will be getting SVMCM Scholarship of ?60000/year and also there are other freeship and halfship available for students with poor family income on the basis of merit and other Scholarships for SC and ST and OBC students are also available.

Kalyani Government Engineering College review

This is a government college so the fee structure is very low. CSE 6000 per sem, IT 120000 per sem, ECE 6000 per sem, EE 3000 per sem, ME 3000 per sem. And there is a chance of half free and full free. you can apply for this.. and if you're a tfw student you don't need any fees.

A Good Government College in West Bengal

The admission fees for my department is 13000 per year. The students of this campus can apply different scholarships like OASIS, SVMCM, AIKASHREE etc. Most of the students get placed from campus placement of this college.

Best College for pursuing CSE

Being an Government Engineering College fees hike policy is not applied here. Although the admission reduced slightly if you apply for Students Fee Waives Scheme (WBFS). During study tge students can apply several types of scholarships like Oasis, Aikashree, Svmcm etc.

KGEC in my eyes

There are a total of eight semesters and fees per semester are six thousand rupees only. So it is highly affordable. And for meritorious students with low family income, the Government of West Bengal gives a scholarship named SVMCM scholarship.

Average college but good environment.

The fees in this college remain constant for 2-3 years, after that it might increase. but in pandemic situations, the college charges only the tuition fees. If you have financial issues, the college offer scholarships like SVMCM, OASIS, SIEMENS, etc.
