KGEC BTech Application Process

KGEC BTech enrolls candidates based on their 10+2 and WBJEE scores, followed by a counselling process. Eligible candidates, if interested, may follow the steps given below.

Visit the WBJEE official website and click on the registration button.
Enter the personal details including phone number and Email ID.
A registration number will be received with a password at the Email ID.
Click on the link which will lead to the application form.
Enter the personal and academic details.
Upload the passport size photograph (size: 3 to 300 kb) with signature (3 to 30 kb).
Pay the application fee online and submit the application fee.
For General candidates, the application fee is INR 700 for General, EWS category and INR 500 for SC/ ST/ OBC-A/ OBC-B candidates
Retain the hard copy print of the submitted application form
After candidates get their WBJEE/WBJELET rank cards, they must participate in the respective counseling procedures.

KGEC MTech enrolls candidates based on their GATE scores only. If GATE qualified candidates are not enrolled, they can also seek admissions via PGET exam scores. Candidates will be called for counselling, as per their ranks.

Scholarship Offered to Students:

10% of the students are awarded full free scholarships.

BTech. courses have provision of 20% lateral entry at the second year level from WB Joint Entrance Examination for Lateral Entry (JELET). To get admitted to this college, you will have to take the West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam. To get admission in this college you have to score well in this exam. If you want to get admission in CSE department in this college then your rank should be below 2000 if you want to get admission in other departments in this college then your rank should be within 6000 My rank was 896. I applied to Jadavpur first, then Kalyani Government College, then Jalpaiguri Engineering College, and I chose the CSE department of each college. I did not get CSE in Jadavpur because my rank was not below 100.

This college was established at 1992 and it is situated in Kalyani with a good infrastructure. And I would suggest to take admission in this college because have the fee structure is very much laser than any other private college in West Bengal and also where it is but the fee structure is really really very much less than any other colleges and as it is Government College so I would like to pray for this college for any courses because the graduation degree from here is very worthy then other private college here you will get good environment for studies and you will get good package in placement if you study well for your entire bachelor degree
