The environment here is too good.. The nature is beautiful and the area is pollution free
There are sufficient classroom and the college having a great infrastructure lab system.. Placements are also good in kgec
Besides study the cultural part of the college is too good .. there are many cultural and technical clubs in our college and also the annual fest in kgec is great

Course Curriculum Overview

Nowadays CSE or IT is too much popular course. So I've chosen this course. But we don't get the 6 months before our semester exam. The semester exam questions level is not that tough in comparison with other universities.

Internships Opportunities

There is an internship offer also. You will get an internship in 2md years but you have to find out this yourself on a social media platform But the college will provide you with it in the 6th semester. Seniors also helping us to get a good internship

Placement Experience

Students are eligible for placement in the 7th semester The main companies that visit the campus are TCS, IBM, etc. Many people get Microsoft, google in off-campus also The avarage package will be increased after getting naac verified.

Fees and Financial Aid

This is a government college so the fee structure is very low. CSE 6000 per sem, IT 120000 per sem, ECE 6000 per sem, EE 3000 per sem, ME 3000 per sem. And there is a chance of half free and full free. you can apply for this.. and if you're a tfw student you don't need any fees.

Campus Life

Overall experience in kgec is very good. There are many clubs like photography, music, coding, astronomy, quiz, mathematics, etc. There are a total of 17 clubs. There are many classrooms for each department and a library also Sports like basketball football cricket TT and athletics are also here.

Admission

You have to rank a minimum of under 15000 to get into this college The admission process is one day long. You need many kinds of documents like wbjee rank card admit class 10 and 12th results, etc. The admission process is a little bit long but not complex.

Faculty

Faculty members are very helpful to the students. The faculty and students ratio is approx. 1:3. so theory or practical there is a great learning experience. The labs are also very good. In the lab, there are always 2 to 3 teachers are available.

Reality of Jis college of engineering

Placement Experience:

The students get eligible at 3rd year 6th sem. Though before that you can do internship or freelancing which will increase the weight of your profile. The percentage of student getting placement is around 60-70% and the average package is around 4-5lakhs per annum. The highest package got by a student previous year was around ?10lakhs per annum.

Remarks:

Provide decent jobs to most students. Faculties are helpful and teach well. You can issue 3 books at a time from the library once your library card is made. Classes are held to enhance your communication skills. A lot of items in the canteen and cafeteria. No ragging. There is no ground to play. Very strict rules, has a lot of restrictions. Most students call it a jail, cause you cannot bunk classes. But believe me, it will shape you into a good human being and you will also get placed if you put your effort. Best of luck for your college life.

Very unique B.Tech Stream after 12th

Remarks:

Passing marks is 50%. That is quite tough and there are no negative points. The stream is bio based stream though it is an engineering course. The faculties are good, the placement is near about 100% in colleges.

Remarks:

KGEC REVIEW

I gave West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination in 2024. I scored a decent rank but due to high cut off of this year I didn't get good branch in Jadavpur University.
