How to Calculate CAT Percentile?

To calculate CAT percentile (both overall and sectional), IIM first converts the raw scores to scaled scores using CAT score normalization process. This is done to ensure that all the test-takers are evaluated at an equal level irrespective of the slot they appeared in. Then, based on CAT scaled scores, the formula used for percentile calculator is:

P = ((N-r) N) x 100

where N is the total number of CAT appeared candidates, r is the rank assigned based on scaled scores
