What is the Score Normalization Process in CAT 2025?
CAT 2025 is conducted in multiple different slots; the difficulty level of the papers can vary from slot to slot. To maintain fair competition for every candidate, IIM uses a process called “Normalization”.
- This adjustment converts the candidate’s raw score into a scaled score by taking into consideration the difficulty across sessions and score distribution.
 - Normalization ensures that the score achieved on a very difficult paper is compared fairly against similar performance on the easier paper.
 - The final scaled score is then used to calculate the percentile, which is released through the CAT results 2025.

Ques. What does the raw score, scaled score and percentile score differ in CAT results?
