IIM Lucknow CAT 2024 Cut off and admission criteria 2024-26 is provided here. IIM Lucknow has now released the list of WAT-PI shortlisted candidates based on the composite scores. Total 3914, 3202, and 1731 candidates have been shortlisted for the PI rounds for MBA, MBA-ABM, and MBA-SM respectively. The composite score has been calculated based on a 60% weightage to CAT 2024 score, 10% weightage each to class 12 marks, graduation marks, and work experience. WAT-PI shortlisted candidates now have to submit their WAT-PI form online. The application link for the same will be activated by IIM Lucknow soon.
For the final selection of candidates for MBA admission 2024-26, WAT and PI hold 10% and 40% weightage respectively. To pass the PI round, you need to get 12 marks out of 40. Check IIM Shortlist and Admission Criteria
As per the statistics released by IIM Lucknow along with the PI shortlist, this year, 12461 candidates in MBA, 12824 candidates in MBA-ABM, and 2416 candidates in MBA-SM have cleared the qualifying CAT 2024 cut off.

Stage 1(c): Scheduling for WAT-PI
- Based on the details mentioned in the above tables candidates will be shortlisted for the WAT and PI stages.

IIM Lucknow Composite Score Calculation Method
Scaled CAT Score Calculation (CS)
- The maximum weightage is given to CAT score that is 60% for shortlisting candidates in all the 3 types of courses.
- The scaled CAT Score is calculated by using the formula:
CS= (Candidate’s CAT Score / Highest CAT 2022 score) X 60
Class 12 Marks (12M)
- IIMs do consider the past academic scores of candidates.
- The weightage of Class 12 marks is 10 marks in the composite score.
- The weightage of class 12 marks varies depending upon the percentage scored by the candidates in that class.
- Method of scoring: 12M = [{Max (P, 80) – 80}/20] x10, where P represents the candidate’s class 12th percentile based on applicants’ pooled data for the respective Boards and Disciplines.
Graduation Marks (GM)
- The maximum weightage given to graduation marks is 10 marks.
- Also, the Graduation score of the candidate is normalized for each kind of stream.
- IIM Lucknow uses a mathematical formula for normalization, but the variable of that formula actually depends upon the graduation scores of other candidates who have been shortlisted.
Work Experience (WE)
- The maximum weightage of Work Experience is 10 marks in PGP and PGP-SM.
- Work experience is not taken into consideration for PGP-ABM.
- The valid work experience that is considered should be of at least 6 months and 24 months for PGP and PGP-SM respectively.
Diversity Factor
- The weightage of Diversity factor is based on two factors that is Gender and Academic Background. This component has been added recently.
- Female candidates will get 5 points for diversity factor for all kinds of courses, irrespective of their graduation stream.
- For PGP and PGP-SM, candidates who have done their graduation in any stream except Engineering will get 5 points of diversification.
- For PGP-ABM courses, candidates will get 5 points of diversity if they belong to streams like Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Forestry, Science etc.

IIM Lucknow Eligibility Criteria 2024
Applicants who wish to apply for admission to management courses at IIM Lucknow have to fulfill the complete eligibility criteria prescribed by the institute.
- Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks from a recognized university or Institute.
- For reserved category candidates, the minimum marks required are 45%.
- In case the candidates are awarded grades/CGPA instead of marks, the conversion of grades/CGPA to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the university/ institution from where they have obtained the bachelor’s degree.
- Candidates who are still studying in their final year or candidates with awaiting results, can also apply.
