Registrations will start August 2024. To register for CAT 2024, candidates need to visit the official IIM CAT website- iimcat.ac.in, create user id and password, fill CAT registration form, and pay CAT registration fees.
CAT 2024 registration process is expected to begin in the first week of August 2024. If we consider the previous year’s date, the process started on August 2nd. Students can expect the registration process between August 1st from August 3rd, this year. CAT received the highest number of applications last year, i.e., 3.3 lakhs. It was a 30% increase from 2022’s count. This year we are also expecting an increase in the applications from last year.
The eligibility criteria seem to remain the same this year also. Students can apply by having a bachelor’s degree in any curriculum with a minimum 50% or equivalent CGPA. For students in SC/ST/PwD categories, 5% relaxation from the qualifying marks is given, i.e., 45%.
The registration process is online and students need to fill the form at the portal, iimcat.ac.in. A unique registration ID and password need to be generated by entering name, email ID, mobile number, residential address, and country. The registration fee of INR 2400 (for General/EWS/NC-OBC) and INR 1200 (for SC/ST/PwD) must be paid via SBIePay/ BillDesk.

When will IIM Conduct CAT 2024 Exam?
The exam is scheduled for November 24th this year. The test will be held in three slots. The previous year, the test was conducted on November 26th.
Who is Eligible for CAT 2024 Exam?
To be eligible to fill out the application form and appear for examination in 2024, students must hold a bachelor’s degree in any study discipline. The qualifying marks must be atleast 50% for General/ EWS/ NC-OBC and 45% for SC/ST/PwD. There is no age bar set to appear in the examination. Students with work experience can also add the details of the same, however, the status must be full-time after graduation, as of July 31st, 2024.

You can apply for the examination. However, you have to request a tentative graduation certificate from your bona fide university, addressing the reason for the same. As per eligibility set by CAT, any students appearing for the final semester examination, whose results are awaited, can sit for the test.

The registration process is online and carried out at the portal, iimcat.ac.in. Firstly to register, students must provide their name, email ID, mobile number, residential address, and country. After successful OTP verification, captcha code filling, and submission, the registration ID and password will be generated. Using the login credentials, the details of personal info, academics, work experience (if any), and any 6 test cities must be updated.
What are the Things to be Noted while CAT Registration?
CAT registration is an online process. While filling out the form, choosing atleast 6 test cities and subject preference is mandatory. Candidates must give the details of the following while filling up the application form:

How Should I Select My Preferences for Programmes Offered in IIMs while filling CAT 2024 Form?
While filling out the application form, students will be given a chance to choose the programs from the list. Students can select all subjects by clicking on the “Select All” option. Also, while selecting the program, candidates must select the interview city preference as well.
What are CAT 2024 Photo Uploading Guidelines?
While filling out the application form, you must upload your recent passport-sized photograph and signature written on a fresh blank white paper. The image format must be in JPG or JPEG and the size should remain within 80-150 KB. For this in reserved categories, the scanned reserved category certificates must be uploaded in the format of PDF.

Yes, here are some documents you need to submit for CAT registration: Class 10 and 12th mark sheet, Marksheet of graduation or equivalent diploma, Details of work experience, if any, Certificate of category scanned as PDF, in case applicable, List of IIM programs you wish to apply for, List of preferences for exam city and center, and more.
The registration for CAT 2022 exam is expected to begin on August 4, 2022. IIM is going to start the CAT registration window for a duration of 2 months. The last date to register for the CAT exam will be in the last week of September 2022.
