Forget just books at IIM C's Joka campus! It's a social smorgasbord. Bond with your batchmates over chai, dance it out at Diwali celebrations or join the Dramatics Club. Clubs? Finance to film, there's one for every passion. Guest lectures from industry titans? Heck yeah! Modern classrooms, green spaces, and delicious food fuel your day. It's a roller coaster, but with lifelong friends by your side. IIM C, buckle up!

IIM Calcutta treats all of its students like adults, people have the liberty to take their own decisions and the college does not enforce unnecessary rules. There are multiple events that keep happening throughout the year - it is a student-run campus, during the last 3 years a lot of events happened online however that is changing and we saw a lot of events happening offline. We have an annual cultural fest, a marketing fest and a sports fest (IIM A, B, C, L) which was organised by IIM C. People really try to give time to their passion and hobbies outside of academics, there is a strong sports culture (we have all amenities available including a swimming pool and a squash court). There are extracurricular clubs for dance, theatre, singing, art enthusiasts, another club that is unique to IIM C is the pet pals club which is one of the most active clubs wherein students take care of cats, and dogs inside the campus

Annual fest are there like 7 Lakes Fest, Annual sports fests is also there named Sangharsh (IIM ABCL), C-XL. From what I've heard from my peers, the library is well-equipped in terms of books & journals. The classrooms are extremely comfortable and equipped with all the amenities one can possibly need. IIM C has a vibrant sporting culture with most of the batch participating in at least 1-2 sports. One sees most of the sports facilities being used every evening. The college also offers a wide variety of clubs run wholly by students.

The campus life is something that Calcutta distinguishes itself through when it comes to prestigious B schools. The institute has its flagship festival in the form of 7 Lakes Fest and other major events such as Mandi (a student-run marketplace) but it is honestly the culture of solidarity and amenability which makes this a transformational experience. It is 2 years of being surrounded by some of the brightest minds in the nation in an environment that encourages you to not just compete but also learn from one another. Groups around sports are common and there are clubs and SIGs for almost every mainstream interest/hobby and a few niche ones as well (you can check these out on the institute website). There are plenty of eateries within the campus and Kolkata is a decent enough city if you want something more.

Since it was COVID time all of our classes and events were held online including fests and clubs. Students present on campus also participated in these events through online mode only. Peer-to-peer interaction was also hampered due to COVID.

There are over 30+ clubs in the institute catering to all the diverse interests of students coming from across different places in the country. Despite a heavy focus on academics, the campus is a highly fun place to be at. There are 4 hostels. A 7 lakes fest is conducted annually imbibing its name from the 7 lakes on the campus. Coming to sports, Sangharsh is conducted between IIMA, B, C, and L in addition to the popular C vs XLRI rivalry. The sports infrastructure isn't fantastic but it still is above par when compared to other major Indian institutes.

Life at the campus is best including a student exchange program, CEMS MiM program (only one in India), multiple inter-college events, sports meets, intersections, etc. Classrooms are equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and we have over 40 clubs and committees and you can join as many as you want.

Best out of all IIMs undoubtedly with the best sports amenities and culture, the best library with millions of online and offline resources with a subscription to the best resources used by corporates which come in handy during research. We even have a trading lab equipped with NSE terminals. We have close to 40 clubs and interest groups apart from sports, cultural, alumni, External relations, and student council.
