Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum is sound in 1st year. You have all the compulsory courses from the second year, and some electives are in your interest, and the courses are available. The courses are prepared in 10 or 5 weeks, with 1.5 and 3 credits (two, 5 hours, 2 classes weekly).

Internships Opportunities

5

There is a compulsory summer internship there. It is for 8 weeks, if you opt in it is provided by college through summer placement. There is an average—package of 3 lakh and a median of 4 lakh. Many MNCs participate in the internship.

Placement Experience

5

The college avg. Placement is 32 lakh per annum. The median is 35 lakh per annum. The college publishes the placement report every year. The placement numbers are not inflated. Many MNCs come for the placement. For details, you can check the college placement report.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is around 27 lakh for the 2024-26 batch, and for the 2023-25 batch, the cost is 25 lakh, so it is increasing. There are several scholarship opportunities here, which are through NSP, Need-Based Scholarship, and other private scholarships Like ( ABG scholarship, etc. ). Eligibility criteria will be published every year.

Campus Life

5

The overall experience of the campus is excellent. There are too many things to explore, different clubs and societies, and other career opportunities. You get to interact with one of the best minds in the country. The infrastructure is also excellent.

Hostel Facilities

5

There are five hostels for MBA students. Every hostel has good infrastructure and mess availability. The mess food is also pretty good in every hostel. A fixed big menu for mess and timings are also pretty long for mess. Nightmessess are also operated in every hostel.

Admission

It is India's first II; other than that, IIM A is the best college for an MBA, IIM B is also best, but it prefers work ex-people, but IIM C is best for those who do not have work ex and interestFinanceance; if you are interested iFinanceance, it is the best college over IIM A.

Faculty

5

Faculty are well qualified, and faculty-to-student ratios are also good. Exams are the headache part of college. There is a trimester system every 5 weeks, an exam, and surprise quizzes are there per the professor's mood.

Interview Experience

5

There is no good discussion. For admission to IIM, you have to appear for CAT, and then after getting the shortlist from the college, each college has its selection criteria weightage. The weightage of IIM selection criteria is on their website. It has a writing ability test followed by an interview. The interview tests your mathematical knowledge, subject knowledge, age, and personality. My WAT topic was Gen Z.

Night Life

5

Nightlife is best on campus. You get the proper chance to enjoy the nightlife of campus. Everything is there, like parties and booze. You can order online from Zomato, Swiggy, and other quick commerce sites. The Nescafe, CCD, and subway are inside the campus. For others, you have to go out.

Other Applied Colleges

IIML - Indian Institute of Management | Post Graduate Programme in Management [PGPM]

IIM C have better finance placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course only because of our HOD, but after completing my course, he left the course. He has helped us with all the things like web development and seo skills. By doing it practically for every student, he offers a domain for every student. I had difficulty with Google Ads & meta ads because it was taught by another faculty. The exam times were different by 3 months.

Placement Experience:

Till now I am seeing in my own eyes that in previous year, there is a 270 student in marketing and now right now the 15 student left to place and rest of the team are already placed to a many companies like ENYF Flipkart in Bandan Bank ICICI bank in a mini sector in FMCG also and FMCT also, but and retail, but I told that the ratio of placement is too higher than other college and also giving the good package is. The main thing with the job rule should be maintain the package.

Remarks:

It is one of the renowned institutes in Kolkata. But after admission got the clear msg. It is renowned for its engineering degree only not for PGDM or MBA. They even dont have proper faculties to teach students. I majored in Business Analytics, but back to then in 2019 there was not even one teacher who have subject knowledge.

College course structure is good but as faculty are not good implementation is bad. Need company visit and better placement. More focuses on MBA rather than the additional courses. Apart from this, it's a good college.

The good things I like is that the teachers teach through the slides prepared by himself and also told student to prepare PowerPoint presentation and deliver in the class and also give different case study to solve the problem. Only missing thing is that the student are getting less practical knowledge as compare to theory paper.

The good thing about this college are the activities that take place every Saturday, which is quite interesting and knowledgeable. The bad thing about the college is that the departments are divided on the basis of their courses so the students do not gather as a whole bunch of college.
