IIM Lucknow offers the following scholarships:
- Need-based scholarships
IIM Lucknow offers a set of special need-based scholarships for students, especially whose academic backgrounds have been excellent but whose family income is an issue.
- For students whose gross family income combined (self, parents, and spouse (if any)) is less than INR 4 LPA, IIM Lucknow provides special need-based scholarships.
- The Need-based scholarships are provided post verification of a family’s income through certain factors like a candidate's past earnings (if any), the size of their student loans, etc.
- The students shall be finalized for IIM Lucknow Scholarships based on meritfor a period of at least a year.
- IIM Lucknow prefers to disperse the need-based Scholarships to students having a good academic record as defined by the institute.
- The need-based scholarships shall be given away by IIM Lucknow as a fee waiver to the deserving candidates.
- Fellowship Programs
In addition to IIM Lucknow scholarships and financial assistance provided by other official bodies, some fellowship programs include fellowship grants.
Fellowship Grant
- All resident Indian scholars admitted to the program are given a fellowship allowance for up to four and a half years.
- Scholars are provided with a fellowship stipend of INR 35,000 per month during years I and II. The stipend will continue until the scholar's successful clearance of the Comprehensive Exam at the end of the second year.
- For the rest of the period of the program (i.e. III year onwards) the stipend of INR 40,000 per month will be provided after the successful completion of the comprehensive examination in III year.
Contingency Grant
- All resident Indian scholars admitted to the program are given a contingency allowance up to four and a half years.
- A contingency grant of INR 10,000 per annum in I and II years, and INR 15,000 per annum during III and IV years of the program. This grant will be available for the purchase of books, stationery, computer hardware/software, etc.
- A one-time computer purchase grant of INR 50,000, which may be availed before the end of coursework.
Conference Support
- A total combined travel grant/conference registration grant amount of INR 1,40,000 :-
(i) to attend one international conference after submitting the thesis proposal,
(ii) to attend a maximum of one domestic conference each in III and IV year, and an additional travel grant of INR 10,000/- in III or IV year
iii) to attend a domestic Doctoral Consortium or the proposed annual inter-IIM Doctoral Consortium/Doctoral consortia organized by IIMs/IISc/IGIDR.
