IIM Lucknow: Admission 2026, Fees, Courses, Cutoff, Ranking, Placement

The average salary from IIM Kashipur is usually between 10 to 14 lakhs, although some do end up with packages between 6 to 8 lakhs. Keep in mind that colleges often make their placement stats look better than they are. If you have a strong profile and confidence, it might work out for you.

The MBA Analytics program at IIM Kashipur is pretty new, only a year old, so it's hard to say exactly how it will pan out. It's like taking a risk on top of another risk. Personally, I think it might be better to stick with your current job for a year to gain some experience. This could help you get into a better MBA program later. Good luck!

IIM Kashipur is a good choice, but if this was your first go at it, you might consider giving it another shot next year for a better college. Avoid enrolling in NIT Trichy or any other place just for the sake of it, as it's not a wise move. If you decide to take the CAT in 2020, make sure to focus and put in the effort. Good luck!

I've got my own reasons for not picking IIM Kashipur, as I've taken a close look at different institutes. After my second try at the CAT, I made it to the merit lists of the New IIMs, but in the end, I decided against it.

Here's why I didn't choose IIM Kashipur:

• Location Concerns - I prefer to stay near Delhi or consider options at an Old IIM or another B-School. IIM Kashipur doesn't fit either of these criteria. Even if it's close to Haridwar and has an industrial vibe, I'd rather work in a city or with a well-known brand after my MBA.
• Return on Investment - Spending 17 Lakhs or more, plus giving up two years of salary, is a big deal for me, especially for an IIM that's still finding its footing. This is a major life choice, and I might not get another chance to do an MBA. The starting roles after graduating from IIM Kashipur didn't seem appealing to me, though I admit my expectations might be a bit high.
• Alumni Connections - I didn't come across any standout alumni on LinkedIn who could be role models for the next 15 years. The alumni network exists but is still expanding, and I didn't find it very prominent back in 2018.
• Presence of Major Companies on Campus - I'd like to see top companies like HUL, P&G, Nestle in FMCG, Amazon & Flipkart in e-commerce, or Deloitte S&O, PWC Strategy in consulting at an MBA campus. Unfortunately, I didn't find them at IIM Kashipur.

I know IIMs often highlight median salaries of 15 LPA or average salaries of 17 LPA, but the factors I mentioned above make me skeptical of these figures.

On a positive note, students from IIM Kashipur have recently done well in some corporate events, securing coveted PPOs through competitions. These PPOs can be a great way to land a good job from campus.

LIFE AT IIM KASHIPUR

Imagine a girl from a small town in Jharkhand, a boy who's never left his city, another from the NCR, and a guy who's spent three years in an MNC. They all had different lives but shared a dream: to study at an IIM. Little did they know, they'd spend the next two years at IIM Kashipur, nestled in the Himalayas. This isn't just their story but the story of many who call IIM Kashipur home for two years.

Here at IIM Kashipur, you'll find a mix of people from all walks of life, speaking different languages and bringing unique stories. When they join, they become part of the IIM Kashipur family. From the intense induction program that hints at what the next two years hold to the surprise fresher’s party by seniors, it’s everything you hear about life at an IIM.

Life here isn't easy, with loads of assignments, readings, projects, case studies, quizzes, and those early morning classes, even on weekends. But as time goes on, you get used to it. Rushing to morning classes feels like an Olympic sprint for attendance, but it’s worth it for the knowledge you gain. Late-night project discussions at the canteens turn out to be fun, not a chore. Weekend classes might mess with your plans, but a free weekday makes up for it.

Even with all the studying and lectures, everyone makes time for their favorite sports, hanging out, partying, and hobbies. Plus, students here celebrate every festival with joy and enthusiasm.

As students of IIM Kashipur, we can say,

"The path is ready, the goal is set, We just need to follow it, aiming to be the best"

I'm using data from IIM Ahmedabad to look at the benefits: Out of 382 job offers, just 7 are international. For domestic offers, the salaries are fixed. The fee for a 2-year MBA comes from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. With this information, you can decide if getting an MBA from IIM is a good investment for your money and time. I'm in my first year at IIM Raipur, and after half a year here, I can confidently say it was the right choice. IIM Raipur has an impressive NIRF ranking of 14th overall and 7th among IIMs. The campus is lively with 17 clubs and 9 committees, giving students plenty of chances to get involved in different areas.

Additionally, IIM Raipur has ties with 19 foreign colleges and universities, making its student exchange programs stand out among others. The placement growth here is incredible, with the 2020-2022 batch seeing some great numbers:

• Highest domestic package: ?42.15 lakh
• Average CTC for the top 25%: ?24.01 lakh
• Average CTC for the top 50%: ?21.01 lakh
• Overall class average: ?17.73 lakh

For summer internships, the highest domestic package was ?3,50,000, and the averages were:

• Top 10%: ?2,59,714
• Top 25%: ?2,04,956
• Top 50%: ?1,66,709
• Overall class average: ?1,20,052

The campus itself is great, offering all essential facilities like WiFi, a night canteen, a swimming pool, a gym, and various sports amenities. We have co-ed hostels with both single and shared rooms, each with attached washrooms.

IIM Raipur hosts an annual HR and Leadership Summit, providing students with valuable industry exposure and networking opportunities with professionals and leaders. The vibrant campus culture celebrates all kinds of festivals, making the MBA experience truly memorable. There's a good mix of gender, fields, and work experience among students, contributing to well-rounded development.

The last couple of years pulled us away from in-person learning, but things are looking up now, and we hope they'll keep getting better. Let me share what my classroom time at IIM Kashipur has been like. I got to campus in September, with online sessions running until October. Once enough students were on campus and things improved, we switched to a mix of online and in-person classes.

Being back in a physical classroom was awesome. It felt refreshing to learn directly from our teachers rather than through screens. The face-to-face interaction was much better than online, and so was class participation.

We had to be prepared with case studies, and teachers would call on us randomly to explain our take on them. Surprisingly, the long classes flew by because the classroom vibe was so lively.

We also got to do presentations in our business suits, which felt as exciting as preparing for a big corporate meeting. We had to be seated before the teacher showed up, dressed appropriately.

In online classes, you can sneak in some unfinished tasks since no one sees your screen. But in the classroom, you're expected to be alert and ready to answer questions, making our schedule tougher as we had to fit other work into the rest of the day.

Overall, the in-person MBA experience is a whole different game. It really captures the essence of what an MBA should be, with a packed schedule that pushes you to juggle tasks efficiently and collaborate effectively with your classmates. It's an amazing journey, and we're looking forward to having all classes in person soon.

Deciding on whether to join IIM Kashipur can be quite a puzzle for MBA hopefuls. It's normal to feel uncertain because doing an MBA is a big deal that requires a lot of time, effort, and money. So, when you're choosing a B-school, you're really thinking about what you'll get back from all these investments.

Whether a business school is a good choice can vary a lot from person to person. Someone with very high goals might only be interested in the top schools like IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, or Calcutta. Other places, like IIM Raipur, might have a few downsides. But if you're practical and have worked hard for a decent score in CAT, you might think about other top schools and make a smart choice based on your options.

IIM Raipur, now in its tenth year, has been growing fast, and here's why it's a good choice:

1. Placements:
At IIM Raipur, there's a strong focus on creating a corporate vibe on campus with real-world learning experiences. They have guest talks from industry leaders and events like leadership and HR summits. These efforts have caught the attention of companies, leading to more of them showing up for placements. The average salary has been on the rise, and there are diverse job roles in areas like analytics and wealth management. You can check the official placement reports for more details.

2. IIM Brand:
The IIM name is like a powerful badge that shows you meet high standards. It's a mark of honor that you carry with pride throughout your life, boosting your confidence to tackle big challenges in your career.

3. Infrastructure:
Since 2018, IIM Raipur has been on a new campus with modern facilities. The academic spaces are cutting-edge, and the hostels offer single rooms with attached bathrooms. There's also a sports center with a pool, squash, and badminton courts. The infrastructure keeps getting better, and the management has big plans for the future.

4. Fees:
Despite its impressive facilities, IIM Raipur is a non-profit government institution with fees that are more affordable compared to many private schools.

5. Course Pedagogy:
Thanks to the IIM Bill, IIMs can create their own curriculums. IIM Raipur offers flexibility, allowing students to craft industry-relevant courses and even specialize in more than one area, opening up more career paths.

6. Life at IIM Raipur:
Beyond academics, there are plenty of ways to get involved, like case study competitions and student clubs. These activities help build leadership and interpersonal skills while creating lasting memories.

Of course, like any college, there are a few downsides. The food might not match up to home-cooked meals, but it's better than typical engineering hostel food. Raipur might not be a top-tier city for luxury, but it has decent hangout spots and is well-connected by air, which helps with corporate networking.
