IIM Lucknow is the 4th IIM to be established by the Government of India in 1984. IIM Lucknow mentors the newly established IIM Jammu, IIM Rohtak and IIM Kashipur. I have applied to all IIMs. I got calls from majority of them and My best convert was IIM Lucknow. My second best call was IIM Kozhikode. I got rejected from IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Calcutta. The admission process include clearing CAT exam, Giving Interview and then verifying the documents.

- The campus is beautiful . The alumni is prestigious. There are ample amenities . Mess food is relatively better .
- The professors are good . Not all but some . There are good companies for placements.

I applied to all IIMs ( BLACKI) and was shortlisted only for Lucknow and converted it. Apart from it I got calls from SPJIMR, MDI, IITB and IIM MUmbai . I converted all of them. I did not clear XAT or IIFT.

Cutoff for Indiant Institute of Management Lucknow was quite high and the admission process was also very strict with CAT being the clearing criteria followed by a written assesment test and a 45 Min Personal Interview.

-The eligibility for the course was a graduation complete student . -When you fill the CAT form ,you can apply the colleges. Once the results are out, the institute released the composite score based on their criteria. -Once a person is shortlisted,they have to fill the detailed form along with SOP and then go through the WAT-PI stage. -Depending on WAT-PI your score is considered along with some portion of composite score and results are announced.

The gateway gateway to this esteemed college was the CAT exam, a rigorous test of aptitude and problem solving skills. Had to appear for CAT exam. Anyone who has completed their graduation or are in their final year are eligible for the exam. Application forms are released on CAT's website in the month of July. After securing a good enough percentile which depends on your category, you are called for GDPI process of each college separately. Then a final merit list is prepared .

After appearing for CAT I was shortlisted for the Lucknow interview and then got admission after clearing WAT and PI. I got some extra marks for the final score for being an agriculture background. The process is smooth and I believe that Lucknow has one of the most transparent processes for admission as we know the scores of all the sections and cutoff.

Need-based Scholarships Offered by IIM Lucknow
IIM Lucknow offers a set of special need based scholarships for students especially whose academic background have been excellent but family income is an issue.
- For students whose gross family income combined (self, parents and spouse(if any)) is less than INR 4 LPA, IIM Lucknow provides special need based scholarships.

Fellowship Grant
- All resident Indian scholars admitted to the programme are given fellowship allowance up to four and a half years.
- Scholars are provided with a fellowship stipend of INR 35,000 per month during I and II year. The stipend will continue until the scholar's successful clearance of Comprehensive Exam at the end of the second year.
- For the rest of the period of the programme (i.e. III year onwards) the stipend of INR 40,000 per month will be provided after the successful completion of comprehensive examination in III year.

Admission into most of the courses is based on entrance exams like CAT / GMAT / GRE / GATE / JRF. The candidates for the executive courses can also appear for the PGPWE Entrance Test, conducted by IIM Lucknow if they have not yet appeared for any exam. The final selection into these courses is based on the exam score, Written Ability Test, Personal Interview, and academic and professional profile.
Need-based scholarships are offered by the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM Lucknow) to students whose household income is less than INR 4 LPA (lakhs per annum). The collective income of the student's income as well as that of their parents and spouse is taken into account. The scholarship can be taken away if the student doesn't do well academically. The need-based scholarship at IIM Lucknow pays for the student's tuition for the entire year, irrespective of caste, religion, or gender.
