People in first year have to sit for summer placements and in final year people with 18 months of workex are eligible for laterals in November and all students are eligible for finals in January of second year . Good companies like MBBK come for consulting . For prod we have walmart, Microsoft, atlassian and others : marketing me we have HUl, PNG, marico and others. Lots of good companies come . Almost everyone is placed .

Placement Experience:

After 3rd trimester you are mandatorily required to appear for summer internship placements that are also paid internships and during the 6th trimester you become eligible for final campus placements. 400+ companies visit the campus including brands like BCG Accenture, Cocacola etc. and around 650+ offers are made securing a 100% placement. As of now the institute does not release any data regarding the placement and packages but in general knowledge BCG offered an average of highest 1.2CR CTC and average of 28 Lacs CTC 100% of the students get placed. I plan to work in a marketing oriented position for the initial few years and gain experience to start my own venture.

There are three categories in which the answer can be seen:

Students who have graduated from IIM LIK can catch up to IIM ABC relatively easily or may end up at the same level by the end of their postgraduate program. IIM Trichy will eventually catch up with IIM LIK, though it may take around 5 years. IIM Ranchi, on the other hand, will take longer to reach the same level.
IIM LIK catching up with IIM ABC may take 3-8 years. With the presence of good FMCG/Consulting/Financial Services Companies, a jump or two could bring them to the same level. IIM Trichy and Ranchi will take a very long time to catch up with IIM ABC in this category.
The top 10% of students from IIM LIK and IIM ABC evolved as toppers after at least 18 months of hard work. There will be a significant difference between anyone in this category, regardless of whether they are from IIM ABC or LIK. While there may be a difference in starting packages due to the reputation of the institute, it will be made up for in subsequent years. It is not clear how long it will take for students from IIM Trichy or Ranchi to reach this level.

You should definitely attend IIM Lucknow rather than FMS Delhi. IIM is a brand, a distinguishing mark that will stay with you for the rest of your life. You never give up the IIM tag for FMS, no matter how much it costs.

The FMS campus has a dingy canteen the size of a bungalow, women dressed in glittery clothing roaming around, and plenty of heat and dust. There are also no hostels. You must take a PG if you go there. Food will be provided by the PG and nearby vendors.

In terms of finances, IIML fees are not comparable to Harvard fees. If you have given money to coaching institutes, you can certainly afford IIML. You may need to take out a loan, but you can certainly afford it.

Anyway, back to culture and way of life. In comparison to FMS, IIMs are king-size. Acres of land, well-kept cultivated greenery, a clean campus, and tasty mess food. Any IIM mess is better than most engineering colleges' mess, and Lucknow's Mess is delicious. The sports complex includes a large swimming pool, Jacuzzi, steam bath, large courts, and other amenities. Every two months, there will be massive student festivals where you can interact with students from other IIMs. You'll get a free membership to a nearby club where you can wine and dine. The student exchange program with Europe at IIM Lucknow is fantastic. You have the opportunity to study alongside international students and make friends from all over the world.

During the IIM Lucknow summer placements for the 2022-24 batch, 570 job offers were made and over 185 recruiters visited the campus. Aside from that, the highest and average stipends offered during summer placements at IIM Lucknow for the 2022-24 batch were INR 3.5 lakh per month and INR 1.41 lakh per month, respectively.
