Ans. It would be better to get admitted to any of these IIMs because giving one more year and sitting for CAT is a huge decision.
If you are targeting admission into the older IIMs, then sit for CAT again, only if you have an excellent academic record. The older IIMs lay emphasis on the past academic, which can’t be changed. So if you have a mediocre past record then don’t risk it and go for IIM Rohtak or IIm Udaipur
Ques. What are the facilities for students at IIM Udaipur?
Ans. IIM Udaipur campus is spread over 300 acres in the Aravalli Hills. The campus has state-of-the-art classrooms with wifi and air-conditioned accommodation. The campus has a fully equipped gym and other recreational facilities. There is a space for Yoga and meditation, a 24X7 medical center, an ATM, and eateries.
Ques. Is it worth applying for the Digital Enterprise Management program at IIM Udaipur? Since it is a new course, will it be risky?
Ans. Firstly, IIM Udaipur is among the first IIMs to launch the Digital Enterprise Management (DEM) program. There are not many IIMs that offer this course, so if you are interested in studying this program then go for it.
This program is designed based on the current requirements in the IT sector. There is a long-term benefit as this sector is only going to grow in the future. Also, this course has a pretty decent placement record with an average package of INR 21.67 LPA and the highest package of INR 35.44 LPA.
Ques. I have received admission offers for MBA from IIM Udaipur, IIM Trichy, and IIM Rohtak. Which one should I choose?
Ans. IIM Udaipur, IIM Trichy, and IIM Rohtak are second-generation IIMs, so the faculty and course curriculum offered will be top-notch and will be almost similar for all. You can look at the placement reports to make the decision.
IIM Udaipur has the highest average package than the other two, i.e, INR 18.77 LPA. Whereas the average package of IIM Rohtak is INR 18.73 LPA and IIM Trichy is INR 19.43 LPA.

The programs will be inaugurated from April or May tentatively at the IIM Udaipur. IIM Udaipur offers MBA, MBA-GSCM, MBA-DEM, PGDBA-WE, and PhD as its major courses. IIM Udaipur MBA Admissions are based on a valid score in CAT. Candidates shortlisted through CAT score are further selected for Personal Appearance (PA), which is a common process for all IIMs participating in the CAP.
Shortlisted students have received Emails and SMSs on their registered Email ID and Mobile No. The IIM Udaipur PI shortlist will be available on the IIM Udaipur website. The candidates can check their IIM Udaipur admission status by entering their CAT 2023 registration number and email ID for MBA admission 2024.
