Honestly, IIM Udaipur has its pros and cons when it comes to landing a high-paying job. The average package is around 19.5 Lakh, which is decent, but considering it's a newer IIM, you might not get the same brand recognition as the older ones. If you perform well and network effectively, you can definitely aim for a good salary. But be prepared for the possibility of internships that pay only 10k to 15k, which can be a bit disappointing. So, if your primary goal is to secure a high-paying job, weigh your options carefully.

Honestly, age doesn’t matter. But getting a job from any IIM, even the older ones like ABCLIK, can be tough. Companies often hesitate to hire someone with extensive experience straight out of college.

Here are some key points to consider:

  • Financial Investment: You’ll be spending 20–25 lakhs over 2 years, plus forgoing a salary of around 30 lakhs from your current job. That’s a total hit of about 50 lakhs.
  • Expected Salary: The job you land will likely pay you around 1 lakh to 1.25 lakhs in hand.
  • Break-even Analysis: If you’re currently earning around 85 thousand, even with an extra 40k per month, it would take you 11.5 years to break even. By then, you’d be around 49–50 years old.
  • Job Security: You’ll be leaving a stable job that offers security and lower stress for a much more stressful environment.

From a financial perspective, I would personally advise against pursuing an MBA from an IIM at this time. However, if you’re confident about rapid growth and a fast track to climbing the ranks post-MBA, with the potential to triple your salary in 6–8 years, then go for it!

Absolutely! Graduating from an IIM, especially the older ones, can lead to fantastic campus placements with an average salary of Rs. 35 lakhs. However, even if you complete your MBA from one of the newer or "baby" IIMs, you can still expect good campus placements, with an average salary around Rs. 25 lakhs.

If you’re eyeing a high-paying job, IIM Udaipur could still be a good choice. The curriculum is solid and you can tailor it to your interests after the first year. Plus, companies like Accenture and Pidilite do come for internships. The average package of 19.5 Lakh and the highest package of 36 Lakh sound promising, but keep in mind that the placement scenario isn't as strong as you'd expect from a top-tier IIM. Just be ready to hustle and build connections while you’re here!

Pursuing an MBA at IIM Udaipur can be worth it if you’re focused on landing a high-paying job, but there are caveats. The total fees are around 22 lakhs, and while the campus life is vibrant with plenty of networking opportunities, the placements can be hit or miss. Sure, the average package is around 19.5 Lakh, but the internships can be low-paying. If you’re willing to put in the effort and make the most of the opportunities here, it can definitely pay off in the long run.
