AILET Registration: The online AILET registration for 2026 exam starts from August 7, 2025. AILET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for AILET, you must have cleared Class 12 exam with minimum 45% marks. The other eligibility as per courses are:
For LLB (Hons.) Program:
- Passed the 10+2 exam with at least 45% marks (General category)
- Completed a 10+2 or equivalent degree with a minimum of 65% marks (Foreign nationals)
- Appearing for or awaiting results of your final 10+2 exam is permissible. However, the final marksheet must be available during AILET 2025 counselling.
For LLM Program:
- Passed a 3-year or 5-year LLB degree with a minimum of 50% marks (General category)
- SC/ST & PwD category candidates require a minimum of 45% marks in their LLB degree.

How to apply for the AILET 2026 examination?
You have to register first for the examination and to do so you need to visit the official website https://nationallawuniversitydelhi.in/. You are required to create an account by clicking on the ‘Register to Apply Now’ button. You have to enter some details like name, email address, DOB etc. and create a password.
After creating the account you need to login with your login credentials. As the exam is conducted for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, you need to choose the law course you want to apply for. I want to apply for the AILET 2026 exam. What criteria do I have to meet to register for the exam?
The exam authority has set certain criteria for students who want to appear for the exam. You must have passed your class 12 exam with a minimum of 45% marks from a recognized university if you are a general candidate. The criteria are 40% marks in the aggregate in the class 12 exam for SC/ST/PwD candidates. If you are appearing for your class 12 exam then also you are eligible for the exam. There is no age limit to appear for the exam.

What will be the AILET Registration fees for the 2026 exam?
While registering for the exam you will have to pay the AILET registration fees online or offline to complete the process. Can I upload black and white photographs while registering for the exam?
You are not allowed to upload your black and white photograph in the registration form. The authority has set certain criteria for your photograph and signature. You need to follow those criteria while filling out the form otherwise there will be a chance of rejection of the application form. The specifications are mentioned below for your understanding.
- You should upload your passport-size photograph and colour with a white background. The size of your image must not exceed 1MB.
- Your photograph should not have a cap, goggles etc but spectacles are allowed. Your face should cover about 75% of the photograph. The photograph must clearly show your face in the preview box/page.
- Your image should be in .jpg/jpeg/png format.
- You should also upload your scanned signature. Your signature must be clear and without overwriting on white paper with a Black/Blue pen within a box 6 x 3 cm (width*height). The maximum size of the image should be 1MB.

- You must keep two identical photographs with you, in reserve, which may be used for pasting on the admit card at the time of exam, counselling and admission.

What if I make any mistake in the application form for the AILET exam?
If you made any mistake in your application form then you can correct it when the correction window is opened. The correction window will be open for three days.
