The Maharashtra State CET Cell has started the MH CET Law Registration for the 3-Year LLB Program on the official website, cetcell.mahacet.org, today, on 8th January 2026 and will be open till 23rd January 2026. The MH CET Law Registration for 5-Year Program will be starting soon. 

 The tentative schedule for MH CET Law has been released on the official website. 

  • The L.L.B. (3 Years) 2026 exam will be held from 01-04-2026 to 02-04-2026 (1st April – 2nd April, 2026)
  • The LLB (5 Years) CET-2026 exam will be held on 08-05-2026 (8th May, 2026)

MH CET Law is conducted in a computer-based online mode for 2 hours. Candidates are provided with two mediums of question paper English and Marathi. Total number of questions for MH CET Law 2026 is 120. The total marks of MH CET Law 2026 are 120 marks. There is no negative marking.

MH CET Law 2026 Counselling Registration

There are several steps involved in the counselling process for MH CET Law 2026. Candidates can simply follow the steps mentioned below to participate in the counselling.

  • The very first step is registration for the counselling. Candidates have to visit the official website and get themselves registered by entering their CET Roll number, password, other details and security pin.
  • Once registered, enter your preferred colleges as per the duration of your program from the list of participating colleges published by the conducting authority. 
  • DHE, Maharashtra will release a merit-cum-provisional seat allotment list for the registered candidates.

The 3-year LLB exam test, known as the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Law (MH CET Law) 2024 exam, is scheduled for March 12–13, 2024. The 5-year LLB course exam is scheduled for May 3, 2024. The deadline to apply for the five-year LLB programme is March 18, 2024.

The major difference in the syllabus for MH CET Law for 3 year LLB and 5 year LLB is the inclusion of Mathematics in the syallbus of the 5 year LLB paper. Both the papers have four common subjects: Legal Aptitude & Legal Reasoning, GK and Current Affairs, Logical & English Reasoning, and English.

The date for commencement of the application process for MH CET LAW 2023 is yet to be announced. It is expected to begin in February 2023. However, the date of exams have been released. The entrance exam for three-year LLB will be conducted on 2nd and 3rd May 2023.

MH CET LAW 2023 application process has not been started. It is likely to begin in February 2023. But the exam dates for MH CET LAW 2023 has been released. The examination for five-year LLB program will be conducted on April  2, 2023.

Dr. Ambedkar Law College, Mumbai does not offer direct admission in its LLB program. To get admission in the said program, you must register and take MH CET LAW. Admission is based on the merit of this entrance test followed by counseling.

The minimum educational qualification required for five-year LLB is to pass Class XII examination with at least 45% marks from a recognized board while the educational qualification required for three-year LLB is to have a bachelor’s degree with at least 45% marks from a recognized university.

There is no upper age limit in pursuing an LLB program as well as taking MH CET LAW. You can register and take this examination in order to get admission in LLB program if you have completed your bachelor’s degree with at least 45% marks from a recognized university.
