Maharashtra CET Cell is conducting the MH CET Law counselling 2025. The counselling is being conducted separately for 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB courses. Candidates who took the MH CET Law 2025 exam for admission to the 3-year and 5-year LLB programme can check the counselling on the official counselling portal. The institute-level Round is ongoing for both courses.

The registration fee is INR 3000 for General candidates and INR 1000 for SC/ST candidates. The counselling process is carried out through a Centralized Admission Process (CAP), in multiple rounds. State Cell will also release institute-level round merit list on the official website.
Based on the provisional merit list, candidates will have to exercise option entry followed by the release of the final merit list. The details of the same will be updated on this page once the counselling begins.

MH CET Law 2025 Counselling Process
There are several steps involved in the counselling process for MH CET Law 2025. Candidates can simply follow the steps mentioned below to participate in the counselling.
- The very first step is registration for the counselling. Candidates have to visit the official website and get themselves registered by entering their CET Roll number, password, other details and security pin.
- Once registered, enter your preferred colleges as per the duration of your program from the list of participating colleges published by the conducting authority.
- DHE, Maharashtra will release a merit-cum-provisional seat allotment list for the registered candidates.
- Candidates having their names in the final merit list will be issued admission letters.
- Candidates have to get their documents verified at the allotted facilitation centres before proceeding to choice locking for the seat allotment process.
- Candidates have to visit the allotted colleges with original documents and fees to accept the seat and confirm admission.

MH CET Law Counselling 2025: Centralised Admission Process (CAP) Rounds
There are three rounds of the centralised admission process. The details about each round are mentioned below:
MH CET Law Counselling 2025: CAP Round I
- Candidates’ names featuring in the final merit list of CAP are eligible for this round who have to fill online option form
- Candidates whose first preference is allotted to them will have to accept the allotment.
- These candidates’ allotment will be auto frozen and they won’t be able to participate in further rounds.
- Such candidates have to visit ARC for document verification and pay fees through the candidate‘s Login
- The candidate has to report to the allotted college to finish admission formalities.
- Candidates who are allotted colleges other than their first preference and are satisfied and do not want to participate in subsequent rounds can freeze their seats.
- Candidates who are allotted colleges other than their first preference and accept the seats are eligible to participate in further rounds for colleges higher in their preference list.
- Candidates who are allotted colleges other than their first preference and do not accept the seats are eligible to appear in further rounds
MH CET Law Counselling 2025: CAP Round II
- Round II is for candidates who are allotted seats other than first preference in round 1 and are seeking their preferred college. There will be no such opportunity after Round II
- Also, it is for candidates who are not allotted any seat in Round I
MH CET Law Counselling 2025: CAP Round III
- If there are any vacant seats left after Round I and Round II, Round III takes place.
- The status of vacant seats is published online on MH CET Law website.
- Candidates eligible for Round III are allowed to fill or edit the online option form filled in by the candidate for the previous round.
Eligibility for CAP Round III is as follows:
- No allocation of seats in any of the previous rounds
- Who did not participate (failure of filling option form) in the previous round
- Taken and cancelled admission in the earlier rounds or rejected seats
- Froze the admission in earlier rounds but are desirous of Floating in this final round is eligible to participate in this round.
- Candidates who have failed to register themselves before CAP Round I are eligible to register before CAP Round III
What are Freeze and Float options available during MH CET Law CAP?
During the CAP, before accepting the allotted seat a candidate can opt to ‘Freeze’ or ‘Float’ the choice of the institute for subsequent rounds.
- Freeze Option: Accepting the offered seat by paying the full fee in the College/ Institution allotted. Such Candidates will not be considered in subsequent rounds of admission.
- Float Option: Accept the offered seat and indicate that, if admission to a program in any Institution of higher preference is offered, they will accept it. Else, they will continue with the currently accepted program. Such candidates will be considered in subsequent rounds of admission, such candidates accept the seat by paying a seat acceptance fee.
Note: Candidates choosing the Float option, and securing a seat of his/ her choice of higher preference, then it would automatically result in the forfeiture of the seat accepted by them in the earlier round
